We stayed here recently during a friends birthday weekend. The welcome was so warm, rooms clean and perfect. A wonderful place and we will come back. One to look out for, the eggs are so white for breakfast. Ask as I did and you maybe told the secret.

My boyfriend and I decided to have a long weekend away in Lyme Regis and chose to stay at Fingle BnB. James and Jane both made us feel so welcome, as soon as we pulled up in the drive even! Homemade flapjacks and a nice cup of tea was just what the doctor ordered after a 3 hour long drive. We stayed in the downstairs room with it's own bathroom and had access to the 'sun room', this was a really nice touch and you feel like you're in a home away from home having these private areas to yourself whenever you need. Everything is brilliantly clean and immaculately looked after, the decor is particularly lovely, and you have amazing views of the wonderful different level hills and countryside around you. It's wonderfully serene and peaceful especially as the house is situated down a quiet road. We walked down to Lyme Regis harbour and cobb both days we were there and this was about 20 mins, a bit hill-y but we relished the scenery and were happy for a bit of mild exercise with all the great food we were having. A trip to River Cottage Canteen&Deli as well as Mark Hix's Oyster and Fish house left us indulgently satiated - Mark Hix was our favourite. Jane gave great advice for when and where to go around town; places to eat, where to go for the best cheese and bread (amazing town mill!), where to go for fossil hunting, you name it. We would absolutely positively recommend staying here to anyone travelling to the area and would love to stay at the Fingle again for another visit.

Such a nice weekend at Fingle. Before we arrived Jane was really helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do in the area and providng taxi numbers. Coffee and flapjack on arrival was delicious as was the breakfast including home made granola and fresh fruit salad (along with the usual). James and Jane were so hospitable during our stay and made us feel so welcome. James suggested lots of great walks we could do in the area. Had a great dinner at River Cottage which was very accessible. Would recommend to anyone and definitely return.

Stayed here 4th/5th October for two nights. Exceptional B&B! Jane and James are great hosts and make sure your stay is 2nd to none. Great room, lovely comfy bed and enough pillows! A very warm welcome with tea and homemade flapjack in the lovely sun lounge. Dinner at River Cottage HQ which is only 10 minutes by taxi away. Able to walk into Lyme Regis from the B & B on Saturday which was about a 20 minute stroll away.
Breakfast outstanding with fresh fruit and yummy granola (or other cereals) or the best cooked breakfast you could have with toast and home made jams/marmalade. Tea or coffee
Would recommend staying here and if in the area again would have no hesitation to book again.

This was en excellent retreat in South Devon. A stay planned around visit to River Cottage which is only a 10 minute drive away. Our hosts even recommended a taxi service and Terry's Taxi's were most efficient and reasonable. A warm welcome with tea, coffee and home made flap jacks a real treat. Off street parking, relaxing ground floor lounge all surrounded by a beautiful large garden. Our double room on the first floor was clean, and very comfortable. Tea, coffee, biscuits and water in the room. TV and bath robes. A variety of recent magazines was a lovely touch. Our bathroom had a lovely shower and towels were of excellent quality. Breakfast was a real treat and worth the visit; from a wide choice of cereals including home made granola, jam, lemon curd and marmalade.

This was my second visit to Fingle. This time I took my wife in order to celebrate our wedding anniversary as I was so impressed the first time. We had a great time. We were greeted as long lost friends and made most welcome. The room and service was excellent. The breakfast was a absolute delight. Jane and James are very accommodating. This is a very peaceful location away from the busy road. Not a single moan. I do recommend the walk down alongside the river into Lyme Regis.
