We rented the farmhouse so that three generations of our family could spend a long weekend together. It proved to be a perfect weekend in Kirklandbank Farmhouse.
The house is very well equipped, warm, comfortable and in a beautiful location.
We were able to cook and enjoy family meals around the big kitchen table.
The weather was good so we enjoyed walking, using the cycle track and sitting outside admiring the views. We had great fun playing table tennis in the barn and also made use of the board games and dvd's in the evening once the children were in bed. We will definitely be returning to Kirklandbank in the future.
The location is Scotland at its best, stunning views, close to so many things to see and do, but also such a well-appointed house, very easy to do nothing if you wish. Very well supplied with kitchen equipment, which we appreciated as we wanted to cook together, not always easy in "self-catering" holiday homes oddly, but here a real pleasure. Very friendly and helpful owner who was available if required.
The rooms are spacious, everything beautifully clean, with quality fixtures and fittings, and attractive decor.
We would definitely consider visiting here again.
A perfect holiday home for our extended family of 9. Very comfortably furnished with beautiful fabrics and well-equipped kitchen. Views are stunning, especially with the good weather we were blessed with. Excellent location for exploring this beautiful area. We enjoyed exploring the Angus glens and a kayak trip on the Tay.
We're two families from Paris and Strasbourg, just back from an excellent week in Kirklandbank.
Everything was perfect, Marian and Simon really helpfull and we were lucky to see a few days old lamb. Unforgettable experience for all of us and a special thank to Marian who spent time to explain us the sheep psycologie.
It was difficult to leave.
Access to the farmhouse approx 1 Mike from the main road , needs a car with a solid suspension . However , when you arrive , you will not be disappointed . The views are simply stunning , a great place for a few families and pets to enjoy the Highlands. The proprietors Marion & Simon are most attentive , and we would be delighted to return again . We were a party of 10 on a weeks golfing break , a superb location for the surrounding courses
9 adults travelled up from Milton Keynes for the Catteran Yomp weekend. This lovely property sits right on the Catteran Trail and is perfect for walking. The property is beautiful inside and out and had everything we could ask for, including fresh eggs from the farm chickens. Marian was a wonderful host, checking we were all ok throughout our stay. Local pubs, shops and cafes nearby in Alyth. We all commented how quiet and peaceful our stay was. A lovely rest.
