We stayed at Lands of Loyal again in June 2014, this time with our 15month old daughter which adds complications when travelling. Lands of Loyal were great again. Lots of help getting into the room, good cot available, high chair for meals, good selection for our daughter, plus they were happy to make changes to the menu and do special requests - if anything the portion sizes for little one were rather too large. Food for us was once again superb. Superb hotel in beautiful gardens, great rooms, great staff, great food. Would and will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms on the main frontage over the gardens have a great view. The one we had this time w...

We visited Alyth on our way back from playing golf and thought we'd be able to grab a couple of sandwiches for lunch somewhere. It was a gorgeous day so we wanted to sit outside. There didn't seem to be many (if any) such places. However, we came across one of the brown signs, googled the exact location and walked up to the Lands of Loyal Hotel.

As we approached, the hotel looked very beautiful and the grounds even more so. We were a little disappointed that there weren't many seats outside and we didn't know if they served sandwiches. However, we decided to go in and ask.

Lucky for us they did do sandwiches and it was absolutely no problem for us to sit outside. I actually don't know why there aren't more chairs and tables outside because the views of the surrounding countryside and the gardens themselves are beautiful. The weather was gorgeous and it was just perfect sitting outside with our prawn and salmon/cream cheese sandwiches and a very fresh side salad which..........absolutely delicious !

Whilst we only had sandwiches, I'm sure that the other lunch and dinner options would be equally delicious.

...perfect views, perfect lunch!

We visited the Lands of the Loyal Hotel for lunch on Sunday. There were seven adults spanning three generations in our party travelling from different parts of Scotland.Everyone enjoyed their meal chosen from a varied menu which reflected traditional and modern cooking. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and the occasion was relaxed, unhurried and enjoyable. The dining rooms are small and south facing with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The hotel is unstuffy with a friendly ambience and I would recommend it as a suitable venue for all ages.

Two nights stay at the hotel.
Amazing experience. Accommodation, food and service were of the highest possible standards.
16 ladies with very high expectations and we were all mightily impressed. The staff were so helpful - nothing was too much trouble .....these folks are a great example of the very very best of Scottish hospitality.
We will all be back...

We had some friends visit us the other day and as the weather wasn't very good we decided to pop up to the Lands of Loyal mid afternoon for a drink . Even though we weren't having food we were welcomed with the usual friendliness before being shown to our seats beside the fire. This was the first time that our friends had been to the Lands of Loyal and I know that it wont be their last.

Arranged a surprise landmark birthday dinner for my wife together with friends and family. I could not have picked a better location as everyone was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the service was fantastic and the menu was extensive as well as being personalised to reflect the occasion. As for the food itself it was absolutely fabulous. If anyone is considering a family gathering in relaxing surroundings then I strongly recommend you enquire with Lands of Loyal Hotel. We also stayed the evening and are already looking forward to returning.

superb meal with matching service - would strongly recommend anyone seeking a rarity of large quantities of quality food. Unlike many fine dining establishments whereby the space on the plate is greater than the food helping itself, this is good quality food, well presented and thoughtfully combined

Room Tip: While we did not stay at the hotel, for any resident I would recommend using the restaurant
