“Annual golf trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014 via mobile

Stayed here for two nights and cannot emphasise just how brilliant it was. Food, rooms, staff (Ethan special mention). They just could not do enough. Would highly recommend. The choice for breakfast unbelievable. Decor unique, rooms beautiful , facilities modern. On arrival our bags were taken to our rooms so check in was easy.

We attended a birthday dinner at the Hotel last night and it was superb. For the group of 30 the choice of food was suitable for all tastes and a wide selection of each course. We enjoyed a dinning room to ourselves.
This hotel is now back in the ownership of the Howell family and is as good as it was for my daughter's wedding several years ago. Nothing is too much trouble and the efficient but calming influence is so subtle.
The hotel was extremely busy with another 2 Dinning rooms full of guests.
The lounge area with a huge log burning fire is so welcoming and this has to be seen to be believed with the panelling and wide stairs.

Room Tip: I stayed here a number of years ago and all the bedrooms were so comfortable .

Visited for a meal. The staff were friendly, polite and courteous at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant and bar have a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere in a building which is attractive and full of Highland charm.

The food quality is excellent, at the prices charged it should be BUT there is no scrimping on portion size you get a good plate full. The meat we wonderfully cooked and almost melted in your mouth and the veg was just right. The puddings were equally as good.

This is certainly not a place to go and trough something down, but for a special treat it is ideal. The food is pricey but it is worth every penny and the service from all the staff was excellent.

This place is just wonderful. Such a fab traditional country house hotel. Room was beautiful and very comfortable. The main hall was beautiful, a great place to sit and relax in front of the fire. Dinner was great, pricy, but good food. Staff were attentive and the owner made a point of coming to say hello.
Would defiantly go back

This was a surprise 80th birthday lunch for my mother. She really was amazed when entering the beautiful reception area, found twenty four family members waiting for her.We had a lovely room set out with beautiful flowers. We were delighted with the menu, these had been personalised for our mum ( nice memento )Food was very very good, lovely choices, all very fresh, tasty, hot and nice veg.The desserts were also were very nice, although someone did say the sticky toffee pud was a little dry.Staff were very pleasant, service may off been slightly slow but we did not mind as we recond it was probably about ten years ago since we had all been together last!!! This turned out to be a very relaxing family day that will be talked about for a long time Lands of Loyal was a good choice,we would definitely return,I think I would like to return for a weekend break with my husband I am sure we would not be disappointed.Lovely country hotel in a quaint village.

Great place for a meal. Lounge area before and after meal lets you enjoy time far removed from the modern world. Food was excellent and thought prices were reasonable for somewhere more upmarket than most places around. Service was absolutely faultless - friendly, interested and efficient. We had gone for lunch and disappointingly, they're not geared up for a lighter lunchtime menu. Would therefore recommend it for dinner rather than lunchtime. However have scored this based on the high standards provided.

We just spent 2 days here at my nephew's wedding. It is the most perfect venue for a small wedding. I honestly could not fault anything (which is rare for me!). The staff are so helpful, welcoming and friendly. The food was fabulous, without doubt the best wedding meal I have had.I loved the big fireplaces and old style furnishings etc.The rooms were spacious and well equipped, fluffy towels, dressing gowns and toiletries. It would be worth getting married just to go back!

Room Tip: There is a separate house which is wheelchair accessible and child friendly with separate rooms for...
