We totally agree with other Tripadvisor reviewers that Tigh Na Leigh is a wonderful place to stay.

The house, which is very spacious, has been beautifully redesigned and modernised by Bettina and Chris to ensure abosute comfort for guests. We were welcomed and treated by Bettina and Chris, as if we were old friends, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure we had a very sucessful stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed all the superb food we ate, all of which was beautifully presented, most of which was sourced locally.

Perthshire is a lovely gem of a county to visit, with beautiful scenery, uncrowded roads and everyone we met was incredibly friendly and helpful in aiding us in tracing our ancestors.

The Folk Museum at Glamis (just outside the gates of the castle) is a must to visit - this Scottish National Trust museum is a row of terraced cottages furnished to show the old village life.

We would highly recommend Perthshire as a place to visit and Tigh Na Leigh as a place to stay.

We needed somewhere to stay for one night near Blairgowrie and chose Tigh Na Leigh based on previous Tripadvisor reviews. We certainly were not disappointed! This is truly a five star establishment. Chris and Bettina have thought of absolutely everything to make their guests comfortable.

We had the four poster room which is just beautiful ( we saw some of the other rooms too, and they are ALL lovely). The seven foot wide bed (honest!) was just SO comfortable! And the spa bath was great.

There are two lovely lounges and a beautiful sitting/dining area overlooking the huge landscaped gardens.

We had dinner by candlelight followed by coffee by the fire. They use local produce where possible - beef, venison, cheeses, raspberries etc. Breakfast in the morning was excellent too - everything you could possibly want.

Cannot recommed Tigh Na Leigh highly enough! But go soon-It won't be a secret for much longer - it has been voted AA Scottish Guest Accommodation of the year for 2006-07.

I had promised to take my Mum 74 and my dear friend of 78 away for 2 days as they had not had a break for so long. So I set out to hunt the Internet to
find somewhere nice, and suitable for them to have a luxury 2 days at a reasonable cost. Considering we were going the next day was a task. But I am delighted to say after in and out of many websites and phoning many places I found the MOST WONDERFUL GUEST HOUSE - TIGH NA LEIGH. I had never heard of Alyth but I knew it was in beautiful Perthshire and the Place looked superb on the Internet. So I phoned up and was delighted to hear that they could take us and provide us with evening meal. The Hospitality, Accommodation, The food was MAGNIFICENT from freshly baked Croissants, luscious fresh fruit freshly brewed coffee, and a choice of cooked breakfast to a lovely choice of Evening meal. I had the privilege of trying Venison for the first time and all the meat and fish so fresh and succulent. Everything so Fresh and Clean. I just cannot wait to take my husband back for a few days break. Chris and Bettina done everything they could to give us a super break. In fact of all the Places I have stayed in the World it is the nicest place. I find it very hard to get customer service these days but I can say we definitely got excellent Customer Service

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Tigh Na Leigh guest house in Aylth.
From initial contact via e-mail, to our arrival, stay and departure, Chris and Bettina were very proffesional and more importantly welcoming, attentative and friendly throughout.
We have stayed in quite a few guesthouses and hotels in all price brackets and this was far and away the best.
Chris and Bettina invited us to have a look around the unoccupied rooms and they were all of a high standard but we would recommend the four poster which we used during our two night stay. Specifically we have to say that it was the biggest and most comfortable bed we have been in and the jacuzzi bath was great after our cycle ride.
The breakfasts were excellent with a range of fresh fruits including some from their own beautiful garden.
We chose to have our evening meal on both nights at the guesthouse and the whole dining experience was lovely.
We highly recommend a stay at Tigh Na Leigh and for sure we will be back in the future.
The personal touches and attention to our stay was above our expectations and it was a refreshing and relaxing experience all round.

Fantastic room with the biggest and most comfortable bed we've ever seen, together with very fine home cooking and the friendliest and most helpful of hosts. Chris and Bettina have set the standard by which all guest houses should be measured - they could also teach the larger hotel chains something about the personal touch - their attention to detail is fantastic.
