Stayed at Alyth hotel as part of a walking holiday in July. Nice situation overlooking Alyth burn - well proportioned triple room with ensuite bathroom. Room a little noisy in early morning as deliveries were made to an adjacent shop.
Pleasant interiors and good character in the bar and diming areas. Lovely dinner menu and good food. Waiteressing staff were friendly and efficient dealing confidently with us at all times. Very good value. Would return and will recommend it to others.

Just back home from a lovely 2 night stay at The Aylith Hotel. It is an older hotel but very cosy and old worldie which we all enjoyed. Very cosy atmosphere. Our rooms were very clean - quite small but adequate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was first class. A great choice on the menu - I struggled with 3 courses on our first night and did feel ill with over eating. We opted for a high tea the second night and all really enjoyed that as well. Breakfast was also really nice - the best omelette I have ever tasted, following cereal, yoghurt, fruit etc. My husband opted for the full english breakfast which was freshly cooked and delicious. Will definately return to this venue

This was a fantastic place to stay and we will definately be back.
Stayed for two nights and our room was very clean and bright. The bed was really comfortable and had a great sleep both nights. The bedroom had a television, which some people expect in their room so they wouldn't be dissapointed. There were products in the bathroom, which was a nice touch and there was a shower over the bath. There was also a heated towel rail in the bathroom.
We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was fantastic. Breakfast was also great with a choice of cereal, fruit and a choice of cooked breakfasts.
The staff were very friendly and helpfull and assisted us re travelling times and directions.
Alyth is a beautiful place and the hotel is situated in the heart of the town. Perfect.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5, which was to the rear of the property and there was a little noise, but not sur...

Stayed for a couple of nights. Warm, friendly welcome. Food first class. Rooms a little dated perhaps but this is an old-style, comfortable country hotel so is to be expected. Can't fault anything really, so if you are looking for a short, leisurely break with great food and a homely welcome, this is worth a visit. We shall return!

Room Tip: A room at the front would be preferable

We didn't stay at the hotel,as we'd booked into Olive Grove Cottage round the corner for the Festive Fortnight, however we ate at the hotel nearly every day as the food was so good & prices very reasonable,we had booked our Christmas Lunch & also Hogmany Dinner there online beforehand,by the end of the fortnight we had our own table!! I can honestly say that we had some of the best food ever here, the meat is the best quality & the chef does wonders with it,even down to the burgers we had one lunch after a walk out in the winters air.All the staff are friendly & helpful even when rushed of their feet,if we're ever back in Alyth we will be making a beeline to "our table" at The Alyth Hotel.
