We called in when passing for the first time this week for lunch and were impressed both with the bar meals and the main menu. The owner is french and the cooking reflects this with an emphersis on the Perigord region although I belive he is from a little further north. Service was swift, drinks were good, food excellent and the bill not too large.

We will make a point of returning when in the area but note that the pub is really in Tenbury Wells not Worcester although it has a Worcester postcode.

We went here for breakfast as part of a group - the pub is very attractive inside, cosy with open fire and the staff were very obliging. It's also the 'local' of a friend who told us that it was now vastly improved after a 'dark age' as a Pubmaster leased property for a period of years. On the basis of our visit we are likely to call here again when we are in the area in a couple of months,

Tiny menu and even smaller wine list ... The staff were friendly but there really wasn't enough choice. Think we all ended up having the same thing ...

We came for Sunday lunch with father in law. As my husband and I don't eat meat, we opted for the breaded prawns to start and the cod for main. FIL chose pate to start and roast Herefordshire beef for main. The fish dishes were absolutely fantastic, and apparently so too were the meat dishes! Pudding was a sticky toffee pudding and two coffee caramel creme brulees. We were not expecting the additional ice cream.

What I like most about the Peacock is that you are offered more bread and veg without asking. At £22 a head for three courses, and such quality, you can't go wrong.

Although the waitresses are young, they are incredibly polite and attentive. They certainly brightened up FIL's day!!
