We arrived a little too late after sunset and went awway a litle too early, but we received a very warm reception, and the lodge is very comfortable. Tim and Anette are very friendly. We 'll come back...

Our 1st safari was in 2008, and we stayed at Bushwise Safaris, where we were treated exceptionally well. The lodging is beautiful, and tucked up next to Kruger National Park. We saw lions, giraffe, zebra, cape buffalo, and more right from the deck on our 1st visit (not so much on the 2nd)! When we were able to return to South Africa in 2013, there was no question that we would return to Bushwise. The owners (Tim & Annette) and staff made us truly welcome again. And our safari guide (Werner) was knowledgeable, FUN to be with, and tracked the animals with ease! We could not have asked for a better safari vacation! Thank you Bushwise! We'll be back!

Room Tip: All the existing rooms were fantastic, and they were adding a new building when we left.

Hi Dianne,
It was great having you here again, it felt like family visiting. And you are right, I think Werner has the phone numbers of all the animals to make appointments before he takes our guests on safari :-)
We're expecting our new development to be completed in the beginning of November. We will then have 7 rooms at Bushwise - big enough to accommodate a group or family, but still small enough to keep it cosy and personal. On your next visit we will book you in one of our new luxury rooms.
Tim and Werner also send their fondest regards to you, Steve, and the rest of the group.
Until next time then...
Annette

We had a most memorable stay here, a friendly welcome, very original building in the depths of untouched bush on the very edge of the Crocodile River. Brilliant décor, comfortable, clean room with a roomy balcony overlooking the river, where buffalo and elephant wandered past almost close enough to talk to! Tim was very informative and helpful and we were taken out by Donald, who was knew just where we were most likely to see lots of different game and knew a great deal about the habits of the animals and birds, most informative. On an early drive he took us via a picnic site on the edge of a dam, where he cooked us a great breakfast. Lovely open-air bar upstairs, next to a swimming pool deck, and dinner is eaten outside by candlelight. Altogether excellent. Only thing they could perhaps add would be tea-making stuff in your room.

It is comments like yours that make us realise again how lucky we are to have such wonderful staff here at Bushwise. Werner is doing a magnificent job as our lodge manager, and our 3 ladies are creating magic in the kitchen with the meals that they prepare for our guests and keeping the lodge nice and clean at all times. Donald - our guide - has a passion for the African Bush. His knowledge of all the animals, birds, reptiles, insects, trees and plants of the Kruger are excellent.
And I had a giraffe sticking its head through the office window the other day... we sure live in paradise!

No regrets choosing Bushwise Safaris for our holiday into Kruger National Park. From the very moment, Donald fetched us from Maputo, Mozambique to the very last day when Tim drove us to Kruger-Nelspruit Airport, the service was impeccable.

The lodge itself situated in Marloth Park was comfortable and homely, with fantastic views of the Crocodile River bordering Kruger National Park. Wild life could easily be seen on both sides of the river.

Breakfast was very good and dinner in the 'bomo' , under the stars was an experience that was unique and one of a kind.

As for the trips into Kruger, Donald our guide was most knowledgable and helpful, resulting in some of my best photos of the animals in Kruger.

Thank you, Bushwise !!!

Room Tip: Any room in Bushwise is good. Just bring along a good pair of binoculars and a good tele-photo lens.

Good day to you again Weng,
Your positive comments are much appreciated. It is always great to have the change to show all that Kruger has to offer to someone that appreciates it. I really enjoyed your company and our conversations over dinner in the boma. Learning about your amazing diving experiences was also very entertaining.
Please let us know if ever you decide to come to this part of the world again.

i had a wonderful time & so was my parner. We will definately come back, with more guests ofcause:-). The service was out of this world, the food was awesome though I don't eat much :-). The room are spacious and the best part is the outside seating by the front. I had a little problem though :-( no TV's in the rooms but hey we managed.

Hi Joy,
We all appreciated your sense of humour, your name surely describes your personality! Your comments about our amazing view over the river make us realise that we don't always appreciate it enough. And if you think about it Joy, I bet you enjoyed the African night sounds more than what you would have enjoyed a program on TV.
Keep in touch!
Annette
