We stumbled across The Harp Inn on a drive around the coast. We were greeted by a young lady who couldn’t have been friendlier. She was welcoming, helpful and chatty. There were 8 of us and 1 child dining. On our first visit the chef was off ill and the landlady was called to stand in for him. The menu was varied, and there was a specials board too. Some of the dishes included Spanish chicken, lamb shank, lasagne, steak and ale pie, salmon and prawns and many more. The child’s menu included options that weren’t all served with chips such as sausage and mash.
Our meal was served promptly even though we were such a large party. The food was delicious, good portion sized, the veg that was served with the meals was cooked to perfection and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Half the party had desserts, one of which was particularly interesting, pear, chocolate and whiskey trifle which went down well.
We were so impressed with the high standard of service we received and the quality of food, that we booked a table for the following night.
Our second visit was just as enjoyable and this time the chef was on duty. The food was just as delicious both nights and the service just as good.
The price of the dishes was reasonable too.
We would definitely go back and highly recommend this place
