we have eaten in the noel restaurant before as we only live 2 miles away, but had a flyer posted through our door for take away fish & chips. it was a cold friday night, and didnt want to eat out, but didnt want to cook, so ordered from the noel.
you ring up the kitchen and they tell you a time to collect....and then collect...simple!!
batter on fish was still crispy when opened at home, and chips still warm.... tried their tartar sauce too...its good...still got some left for next time
good idea for locals with no chippy in our village

as we live in stamford, its really easy to eat in town, but decided to hit the road on this occassion.... rutland here we come.
found the noel from the signs on the road...might miss it if not !!
2 menus to pick from, offering great choice. food was delicious, well presented and flavoursome.
service was friendly and really efficient.
puds were yum...sticky toffee pudding is a must
coffee with homemade chocolate biscuits.
well worth the 10 mins from stamford. will return

Happened to be staying in the area and just found this excellent pub. didn't order any starters but received the delicious mini soup and bread anyway. The food was hot and the service good. Altogether a good find.

Found this pub last year and had a lovely meal so as we were in the area did a little drive around to find it and was really worth it. Starters were amazing, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The 3 lamb mains were delicious and the Sea bass was good. The staff were lovely, very efficient but friendly. Lovely décor, ambience for lunch or evening meal.Well worth the second visit will definitely return.

Was positioned in the far back corner - all the staff forgot us, or it was a long way to walk to us.

Kept having to get up to request simple thing like water!!!
Ordered white wine, this came in a silver bucket full to the rim of water!!!

Staff couldn't even be bothered to unscrew the cap let alone pour it.

Everytime I tried to pour the wine water cascaded onto the table - asked for assistance and was given a pretty grubby towel which I declined and used knapkins

Food OK - no tip left
