We spent five nights there, my wife and I plus a friend, and we were very pleased with our choice.
It was respectably priced and handily located, just five minutes' walk from the main drag and from the rail station at Interlaken West. It was also notably quiet and an easy place to relax and sleep.
But two things set it apart from our point of view. One was the owner/manager, a friendly, helpful lady who made us feel extremely welcome and was always solicitous about our needs: our friend, who has very high standards, was entirely charmed and absolutely delighted at the friendliness of the service. The other great virtue was the food. Breakfasts were very nice but evening meals were even better: we ate in a couple of times, much against our usual habit, simply because Aarburg was such a nice place we knew the food and service would be excellent. And it was: I still remember my pork and pasta dish very fondly indeed.
If I return to Interlaken all I can say is that Restaurant Aarburg will be the place I'll be wanting to stay.
