“Friendly hosts & Nice Hotel”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

We are from Shanghai China, and Really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Rossli. Clean and nice hotel, good view to see Jungfraujoch. An ideal location, 5 minutes walk to the interlaken west station, peaceful but very close to the center. The hosts are all very friendly and helpful, they can give you good advices for the tour around interlaken, and be very patient to answer all your queries. The owner is a very lovely & humor guy, he will say hello in English, French & German to the guests in the canteen very morning, and make more nice Capuccino to you. I will continue to stay in Hotel Rossli when I come back next time....
Hotel Rossli.
Yvonne & Victor

Room Tip: Choose the room with Balcony, direct face to Jungfraujoch.

What a lovely place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble and we really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Unterseen is so much nicer than her flashy neighbour, Interlaken, and this friendly hotel is an ideal base. Close enough to walk to town but peaceful. We had a budget room and would recommend upgrading as it was up lots of stairs with no lift and the shower room was compact but otherwise our stay was perfect. A wonderful stay leaving us with a warm glow!!!

We have stayed in many hotels during our 35 years of marriage and we can honestly say that Hotel Rossli has been the best, from the moment you walk though the door you have a feeling of warmth and welcoming hospitality.
This is a family run hotel which is multi lingual,(English/French/German/Dutch)that we know of, and it's main aim is to make your stay as special as possible, from helping you plan trips you letting you use there kitchen facilities.
Tea and coffe is there for you to make free until 10-00pm.
The train/bus station and boat pier are within 10 mins from the hotel which makes travelling to any part of the Oberland easy, the hotel is also situated in the old part of Interlaken which is lovely and quite.
We had a room on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the jungfrau the room was spotless as was the whole of the hotel, the family/sitting rooms have the most entertainment we have ever seen, this is an hotel that as thought about there guest from start to finish, and lets not forget the special start to the day Breakfast! Jean-Louis the father and head of the family greets Everyone as they arrive with a warm welcome and makes you feel special.
Home made yogurt and cheese, with wonderful crusty bread, fresh fruit salad which is chilled, lovely fresh slices of ham, with lots more and all fresh and clean,Jean-Louis makes sure you are topped up with plenty of tea/coffee/chocolate.
We found this hotel in 2012 and worked our 2013 holidays round coming back and we again were not disappointed, the worst part of the visit was saying bye as we left,we been here twice and we feel like family.

The family, Christopher, Nadine & the best breakfast host ever, Jean-Louis (Dad) make any stay at the Hotel a pleasure. Breakfast is a delight with home made yoghurt, cheese, and fresh fruit salad followed by a hand crafted coffee every morning. Nothing was too much trouble and the advice from the family and other staff was always spot-on. Car parking is free, unlike other hotels that charged us 34 francs a night. We stayed 5 nights on the third floor and there is no lift but they carried our luggage up to our room on arrival and down on check out. We must have been there at the same time as Sally P as we were also woken by the inconsiderate american tourists at 3:00am but I spoke to Christopher and it didn't happen again. The room was great, small but comfortable with a window looking straight out to the Jungfrau, shower & toilet and at an acceptable cost. Eating out is expensive in Switzerland so Christopher recommended take-aways to eat in the hotel and they didn't mind us bringing in our own beer and wine from the supermarket, in fact they have 2 drawers in the bar fridge that are for customer use. The restaurant he recommended the night we did eat out was affordable and good quality food. The hotel is well situated, not far from West Interlaken station, on bus routes, a supermarket nearby, plenty of shops and restaurants and not far from the main shopping street in Interlaken. I would certainly recommend the Hotel Roessli to anyone visiting Interlaken.

The hotel was walking distance from the Interlaken station, an important factor while deciding given that walking is the preferred option to explore the place. What stood out for us was the homely feel of the place with convenient access to the kitchen. Staff was very welcoming & knowledgable, helping us with what to do, explore; all keeping in mind that we had a three yr old with us. Rooms were clean, well maintained, with our son preferring to spend most of his time in the common playroom.
The Rossli family with their easy banter, makes sure to help you feel at home away from home:)

This family-run hotel featured not only my clear favorite bed of my trip to Switzerland (I stayed in 4 different hotels), but also an extremely helpful and friendly staff. There was no elevator, but they kindly carried my suitcase up and down the stairs for me, answered my dozens of questions, and recommended inexpensive places to eat.
I wish I'd been able to get a room on the 2nd floor--the 3rd floor, where I stayed, was fine but required sharing a bathroom. (Not a problem when you're younger, but at my age I feel like I'd rather have my own!) One night a group of people came in very late (3am) and very loudly, waking me up--the room was not very well-insulated for sound--but if you ask to borrow a fan (which I did the following night), that can help drown out any noises outside your room.
The room itself was small but cozy, and had a desk, a sink, a wardrobe, and a skylight that I could open (phew! it got hot up there--another good reason for borrowing the fan!). Basic and comfortable, as one should expect for the low price. I hope the owners will consider putting in hooks for hanging things like jackets.
The breakfast was good and varied, with an above-average fruit salad, nice breads and cheeses, yogurt, and attentive, friendly service.
The hotel has several convenient amenities: free wifi, free self-service coffee and tea all day, and several areas for hanging out as well as a transit pass for the local public transit. It is also very well located--a very short walk from the Interlaken West train station, very close to the old part of town and an easy to walk to the main shopping district. I would definitely stay there again, but would try to reserve more in advance to get a room with its own bathroom.

Room Tip: The top floor is cheapest, but you share bathrooms up there.

We have stayed here now approx 15 times over the last 20+ years and would not choose anywhere else when in this part of Switzerland.

It is family-run, very clean with the service from the time that you arrive until you depart is faultless.

Upgrade to a room with a balcony and you will have a view of the Junfrau massiv whilst sitting on your balcony, heaven.

The breakfast is top-notch, with Jean-Louis serving you coffee/tea as if it was about to run out forever. No phones, laptops or luggage allowed in the breakfast room, which is a joy.

No restaurant "on-site" any more but with several restaurant in the immediate vicinity, you are spoilt for choice, be it traditional fayre or "M" in the high street.

Less than 10 minutes walk from the West station, quicker once you know the route beind the Co-op.

Room Tip: Room with a balcony
