We have now been to Benacus a couple of times, first for the tasting menu for a family celebration and the last time a week ago for a less 'involved' meal. The head chef is something of a Swiss celebrity but he still comes out and says hello to his guests after most of the service has finished.
The price is NOT expensive by Swiss standards, in or near Interlaken, but for illustration purposes: for the very large Tapas platter, two burgers, plus wine, water & coffee it cost just under 150CHF for two. We will certainly going back, but will probably try a different main this time, the burgers were good, but I can get better at GBK in London. The Tapas selection was, however, excellent, if anything they actually give you too much meat! and I don't know what they do to their Almonds but I love it.
I hope to report back that they have better beer on offer as all I could see on my last visit was Carlsberg [shudders] on tap.
