Lovely hotel with the most friendly and accommodating hosts I have ever come across. We have traveled all over Greece and we haven't received a warmer welcome than at Apollon! Rooms are nice, clean and well cared for and the pool area was always clean and comfortable.

Some (not all) of the rooms have a good view, and there is a comfortable lounge area in reception. The accomodation is quite basic and the rooms, especially bathrooms not well maintained, eg. Showerheads not well fixed, water leakages when showering etc. Perhaps out of season it is good value.

Simply fantastic, very kind family, lovely place and holidays! From the first to the last day in Milos they had care about our staying on the island with a lot of tips on beaches and activities. One day we woke up with fresh fruits on the table just in front our door room! No words.. Top service.

We came to Milos after we went to Santorini and wanted to get away from all the excitement and over touristy areas that Santorini offers. Well look no further, Apollon is exactly what you need if you're looking for some peace and quietness, where the service is excellent when you need it and invisible when you want a moment alone. The family owned place takes care of everybody with an everyday smile and nothing is too much to ask. They give you all the insights of the island and know every best deal you can get (they got us a car at much cheaper prices than offered at the car rental place). I've rarely seen a host who really takes the time to sit down and explain to you all the hidden treasures of the island and all the history of it as well. The rooms are basic but well equipped, and don't worry, you won't spend much time in there anway, since the sea is literally 4 meters away from your doorstep, with a big terrace to accompany it. Breakfast is good with some homemade marmalade and delicious yoghurt. One thing you should definitely do is ask Stavroula to make you dinner. She's a wonderful cook and will make the sunset even better. Seriously, go here. We thought we would stay a couple of days, but ended up staying the remaining 10 days of the holiday we had left. Stavroula, Tassos, Makis, Nikos & Maria; thank you all for a wonderful stay and hope to see you next year in september. Jordy & Hayley

Room Tip: The rooms on the right side when you arrive, face the sea and are nicer in my opinion than the ones...

Looked hard to find accomodation in Milos with a pool as we were traveling with two kids (9 and 6). We were also booking less than seven days before ariving! Apollon answered our emails and we got an offer of two rooms upstairs, with a "small view" for 60 euro a room. One for the kids and one for the adults.

The hotel is a family affair, and as such, the family is very much present. Mom makes the food, breakfast (8€, 5€ for kids) and dinner to order if you feel like eating in, we did not. You can also skip breakfast and get a nice fruitsalat and a good coffee for less if you walk for 5 min to get to the harbour

They picked us up at the farry from athens (we used agean speed lines, 4 hours ride from Pireus with two stops on the way).

The arrival town, amadam, is a little touristy with bars and a small club scene but pollonia is very quiet and relaxed. As others have described it as an upscale backpackers place. A place where people like my wife and me who used to Backpack felt right at home but at a slightly increased prize and quality.

Polonia has a nice small harbour area where to dine and all the hotel /b&b options are located were close together. To our taste, pollonia is the place to go in Milos unless you are there to party. You might get cheeper options in Greece but this is a very nice town.

From Apollon it is a 5-7 min walk to the main beach and restaurents. Appolon also have a small pool which is a big things for our children.
It also has direct acces to a shallow bay or lagoon, a very nice place to swim. And the view there is also amazing.

The photos on the hotel web page and here on TA do not quite give the place enoughtay credit. It looks and feels alot more charming than the pictures make it seem. I was afraid it would have a big hotel/touristy feel to it, i am happy to report that it does not. Service is great, we felt most welcome, rooms were well cleaned and The family helpfull.

Apollon is simply the largest of the many options to stay in polonia but in our view a good choice. You can find better rooms but the small pool and the lagoon is a bonus.
A little more loving effort on the decor and a little less intrusion from the family running the place would have secured 4 TA dots.
No matter where you stay, Milos is a great place to go.

Room Tip: Do get a seaview room, and make sure to use the lagoon

Just wish to thank for a relaxing and fantastic week at Apollon. When friendly people are running a
hotel like this you don't need more. The location was splendid. To sit looking at the sea from the bar area really lower my shoulders. Thank you for all the help finding things to see and experience. We have only seen small parts of your beautiful island so we will meet again. Thank you Stavroula, Makis, Tassos (and Nicos who gave me his cucumber :-). Ta leme!
