Quillan is a small town in the middle of (relatively) nowhere. This hotel and its restaurant are a gem. Rooms, staff, food are all well above standard and the location is great for exploring both the Cathar castles and the Pyrenees. Parking is across the road in view of the hotel. finding it is easy.

Super clean hotel room...massive nicely renovated bathroom ...and quiet.
Excellent large room for our family of 4. Breakfast, although not include in the room price was plentiful and offers nice variety. The staff was very welcoming and politely put up with my mediocre French! Nice Stay in a very charming town.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back on 2nd and 3rd floor are more quiet and offer views of the rooftops and Pyrenees foothills.

We found this hotel by chance, and were delighted with what we found! A small but clean and very functional room, great bathroom, great view of the farmers market and the mountains. Exactly what we needed, at the right price. The double was 2 twin beds for 63 Euros, a perfect stay. The receptionist was sweet and welcoming. When we asked where is a good place to eat, she said RIGHT HERE. We of course thought she might be prejudiced, but we did eat in the restaurant and were blown away - the meal was one of the best meals we ever had ! Great bottle of wine, fantastic meal Wonderfully served. Nice ambiance. Really world-class! With a view of the sweet and beautiful city of Quillan and the Pyrenees. I highly recommend this place. It was a memorable stay, during a 36 day trip and many different hotel experiences, this one was outstanding. I see another reviewer didn't get as nice a reception as we did, perhaps they were very busy, but we thought the woman who checked us in was a doll. The lobby is very cute and I used it to get comfortable and catch up with my email. The farmers market across the road was delightful - fresh bread and cheese, and lots more. I would circle this town as a destination for a future trip. Nothing extravagant but a totally enjoyable stay. The room was so reasonable that we were able to splurge on the meal. Win/win.

Room Tip: Who needs a swimming pool or fitness center when you are so close to the Pyrenees?? We had a room on the busy street, and could hear the farmers market setting up in the morning but it was not distrubing (and we are both light sleepers) . I prefer the view and huge sunny windows, but you could get a room facing the back , might be quieter.

Whilst on a night out in Quillan my family of 7 was turned away from the other restaurants so we left the center and had a look round the hotel restaurants around the ring road. What an excellent surprise when we stumbled across the hotel cartiers restaurant, everyones meal was fantastic.
Unortunately this is a hotel review and not a restaurant review .The staff were fantastic even my plate du jour of beef tongue was very nice, the sweets were out of this world, best creme brulee ever.
With the two fussiest teenagers in the world in our group everyone said what a fantastic meal this was not an amazing choice but what there was ,was great.if you want to email me dont hesitate.

Room Tip: Eat in the restaurant

An odd hotel, but then so many Euro hotels fit this description. We booked for 2 nights for a "family" room. There were 2 twin beds in the main room, and a small bed in the antechamber or other room. The bath was swell- redone, modern. All in all, it worked and there is not much choice in the lovely part of France. Close to the action in this small town.
