“Very nice park with a good mix of animals, cultural relics and nature”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

This park has a good mix of animals, cultural relics and nature but they better should finish newbuild attractions before starting to work on new ones. The entrance fee is somewhat expensive and there has to be more focus on cleaning up.

“So many things to see and do”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Pairi Daiza is worth the trip from other noteworthy locations in and around Brussels. Wonderful family atmoshphere and up close feel to exhibits from around the world. The Chinese and Japanese gardens are relaxing (soothing music playing and beautiful flower gardens), the elevated rope bridges provide a nice elevated view of the whole park. The animal shows (elephant, monkey and bird) are unlike what you will see in the states because the animals are so close to the audience. Good food, although mostly standard park fare. A season pass (plus parking) pays for itself after two visits. This can be an all day or a couple hour trip when you're in the area. Also accessible by train and a short walk to the park entrance.

“Great day out/more then a zoo”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

We have visited several zoos and animal farms in Belgium/France/Germany/Spain during the last few years but still were very impressed by Pairi Daiza. A few miles from the highway, easy to find and lots of parking (payable but it really is the easiest). Even the fact that it rained the first 2 hours of our visit, could not spoil the fun. There are numerous attractions inside (aquarium, reptiles, and so on..) The park is set up in different 'worlds',each with a different theme and it all is done with a great sense of detail. And off course the animals are the real stars. ( there is a pet farm and you can feed some other animals as well). Animals are close but never is there any danger. Friendly and helpfull staff. As the park is quite big I'd suggest you plan which area's you definitely want to see and go there first; or take the train trip to get a feel for the place ; or look if there are 2 day tickets ( our youngest got really tired so we did not visit everything) or... just visit again another day as we plan to do. Highly recommanded!

“Great family experience - don't miss the birds!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We visited Pairi Daiza for the second time - and it is even more impressive than couple of years ago. They really strive to make it better and better and it shows i.e. you will experience some construction work here and there ( it doesn't take away from the very pleasant experience overall) but you can also see the effects - and play with a giraffe, for that matter, from a wooden terrace. Bear in mind it is not the biggest zoo out there in terms of statistics, but rather a large theme park for walking and experiencing animals here and there. In that sense it is rather unique. Kids universally love the little train that tours the park.
The highliht comes at 2:30 pm - bird show at the arena. A must. don't take my word for it - just go and see for yourself! One small drawback - majority of food in thefast food type bars is rather poor; I don't have high expectations in a place like this, but still it does not live up to otherwise very high standards in Pairi Daiza. Lots of picnic areas make up for it to some extent. There is also a buffet Asian restaurant which is quite good but a bit pricey and requires some luck to avoid long waiting lines to get there. All of that is not very important if you go to Pairi Daiza to spend great time in fantastic surroundings - which I strongly recommend.

“Fantastic exotic zoo.”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

One of the best zoos I have visited with my family. My husband and I were very impressed with the different zones and their buildings. We loved the fact you could feed the mini monkeys, the farm animals and stroke the lemurs, as well as the farm animals. The shows were quite good - bathing elephants and a bird of prey show. The Chinese restaurant ( buffet eat as much much as you like) was excellent. The aquarium was also quite cool and had a great atmosphere. There are also fantastic picnic areas and great playgrounds for the kids. You can hire little trolleys for 3 euros to place your picnic food in or lazy children. Also if you want you can purchase your tickets before hand on line. Overall a great day out!
