For the 7th year in a row, our family has rented a 2 bedroom unit (sleeps a maximum of 8 people) at Shipwatch Villas and Condos. I absolutely adore this location.
What endears Shipwatch to me are things you DON'T have and what it ISN'T.
You don't have a lot of god-awful noise.
You don't have riff-raff.
You don't have housekeeping knocking on your door when you're wanting to sleep in.
This isn't a property with an overstimulating water park.
This isn't a resort that is hitting you up for fees for this or that every time you turn around.
What the Shipwatch is:
A home away from home, but at the beach.
Plenty of opportunities for family fun at the private beach and pool.
Relaxing, laid back atmosphere.
Although you do so at your own risk, if your older child forgot something in the room while you're at the beach or pool, you can feel good about giving them the key to run upstairs and get it without having to escort them.
We rented this condo for our daughters 4th birthday. There were myself, my wife, our daughter, and 18 year old niece. We all loved every minute of it. Our only complaints were the exterminator came in while we were there (glad they were ensuring a pest free zone), the were doing some resurfacing on the side of the building but they didn't start early in the morning so it was bearable, and after we returned the key we never heard back from the owner and refundable deposit was not returned. We sent several emails and still no reply as to why it was not returned. Other than that it was enjoyable and a nice place to stay. I would have gladly rebooked this condo for our trip in September 2016 if she would have responded to us.
