We stayed here in August 2017. Access to beach is great and it is pet friendly too. For the money I've stayed in nicer places. Carpets are crunchy with sand in all bedrooms and in the master there are stains. The hot tub is bowing the deck. The railing was not even attached on the bottom left (maintenance came right away and put in a couple of screws). Top rail was held by 1 screw. On the right the top railing is separating too and in the middle there is a definite bow. You can feel the deck move while in it when anyone walks on the deck. The wall separating the two units is so loose that if you lean hard enough it would fall over. The rain shower head in the master is filled with sediment and does not fall straight down but flows in 20 directions. The button that controls the jets in the bathtub falls out when you push it and the first night when I pressed it black mold shot out all into the water. Needless to say I did not use it again. The faucet in the kitchen is loose and when you use it it spins to the left and right. There is not a lot of storage space in the kitchen for your groceries and some of the pots and pans have seen better days. The ice in the door of the refrigerator does not work and ice was crusted in the bottom of the ice maker so we dumped it out and cleaned it up.
Overall it was not worth what I paid. I stayed in Surf City last year and paid about $1500 less across the road from the beach and it was pristine and very clean. The entire place needs a good cleaning and the carpet needs to go away. I cannot imagine trying to keep that clean with renters who don't care if they are tracking in sand. It has to be an endless battle to keep that clean.
The layout is great and the elevator is a plus as I have a handicapped child, but overall would not return.
