I can not rave about Crawford's enough, not only are they my first choice for any holiday but it is my only choice! Their service goes beyond my requirements and they did an AMAZING job with my wedding! Staff is very helpfull and best of all friendly! They catered to my every wish without any questions. This place is magical with endless beaches and views one can only dream off!

Having been all over South Africa in several B&B, Crawfords was the least favourable!

The location is great, however rooms and furniture are worn out and need a fresh up.

When we arrive we were given a room without any seaview and with a big window where everybody could look directly in our room. Bath was tiny and mediocre!

After discussion with the staff another, better, but far smaller room (with seaview) was granted to us.

Service and attention of the staff was average and nothing special. So was breakfast. Also the wifi is only available in the bar, which is below average for a four star ressort.

Hotel could do much better if rooms would be refurbished and renewed, staff would be trained and service and especially food would be upgraded!

Note: For business I travel appr. 150 days abroard and though have a good inside in tourism/hotel industry.

Would NOT recommend the Crawford's again.

We stayed here overnight on our way through to Durban. The lodge is accessed through a steep and narrow road toward the beach. Check in was simple and the room quite big. We found the bathroom by walking through the wardrobe (we should have taken photos, it was very surreal). The windows were all open when we arrived, but when we closed them to go to bed we realised they were trying to hide the smell coming from the fridge. By this time reception was closed so we couldn't do anything but put up with it. Not all the blinds would close either, so we were woken when the sun came up.

Dinner and breakfast are both buffets. We decided to eat dinner elsewhere, but breakfast was pretty good.

We complained when we checked out about the smell, and after promising to aerate the fridge (no good to us) I finally said I wasn't happy to pay the full amount, at which point they agreed to a discount. This went some way to improving things, but I still wouldn't stay there again.

Room Tip: If the windows are all left open, the room might have odour issues.

We spent a 6 night family holiday with our children and their families (6 adults and two babies) in one of the Crawford Lodge cabins. The four bed roomed cabin we were initially allocated was a bit far from the pathway to the beach and the fourth bedroom, almost in the wooded area, felt a bit damp and musty. The layout was also a bit strange with the living areas on split levels. We decided to move to the three bed roomed cottage we were offered as a replacement, with a far better position and a huge deck for the little ones to spread out.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The buffet meals hearty and perfect for a family beach holiday. The seafood buffet night definitely the highlight. The location and ambience of the restaurant really excellent.
The bikes on offer to ride need some TLC as of the five only two were in working order. However for a relaxing family holiday virtually on the beach we found Crawfords perfect for our requirements.
We ate at Michaela's one night and found it very satisfactory with their prawn and calamari special real value for money. The location is fantastic and even if you only go there for sundowners its a must.
Note: Crawfords has two listings on Trip Advisor and I initially placed my review on the other listing. I have now copied it to this listing which seems to be more up to date.

A perfect place to unwind - we were on our way to a wedding in Morgan Bay and stayed at Crawfords for one night to unwind - wish we had stayed for longer as it was such a relaxing place and very friendly.

Room Tip: sea facing - balcony
