“Pleasant surprise in La Canourgue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

After wandering around the beautiful town of La Canourgue, we looked for a place to eat and tucked away in the heart of the town we found this pizzeria. But it is much more than a pizzeria. I tried one of my favorites the Salade Nicoise and it was delicious with its long slim green beans amid fresh ingredients of salad tomatoes, anchovies, and my husband tried the plat du jour....tender slices of veal under a veggie sauce, sliced carrots freshly prepared, and sweet peas cooked in their pods. These veggies were prepared simply but were very tasty. Though I don't always get a dessert, I was tempted by a warm chocolate dessert served in a cup and topped with whipped cream....divine. The cost for this wonderful lunch was unbelievably reasonable.

“Friendly service excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

We ate here in preference to our hotel, partly due to cost but also to sit outside and soak up the ambience of the beautiful village of la Canourgue. We arrived just after quite a large party and we feared that we would have a long wait but the we didnt wait long and the freshly prepared food and pizzas were worth just that little bit of extra patience. As the sun went down my partner was feeling the cold and had no cardigan to put on so the owner kindly lent her a wrap to put over her shoulders, thats what I call service! Our meal of two courses each bottle of wine and coffee was under fifty euros.
