We did a day long safari and we certainly did not regret this at all! We managed to see three leopards during the whole day. Our guide knew exactly where to see the leopards and what to do in order to get the best view without disturbing the animals. While all the other jeeps drove around like nutcases (some actually drove off after waiting only 5 minutes!), our guide stopped and waited for 25 minutes, knowing that the leopard wanted to cross the road which eventually it did right in front of us! Our guide was called Nissnka and we would recommend him to anybody wanting to do a safari. His knowledge (and eyesight to spot the animals and birds!) was very interesting and the day was by far the best day we had in Sri Lanka!

We were lucky enough to have 3 nights at the nearby highly recommended Cinnamon Wild so we had a full day safari and two half days. Great jeep safari company in our opinion. Excellent driver who worked perfectly together with our guide. We saw everything we could possibly see except for a sloth bear. We took our time and enjoyed everything magical Yala had to offer. Leopards (we saw 5 and couldn't believe our luck), elephants, boar, deer, cobra, hare, so many beautiful birds - and so much more. Our young driver knew Yala like the back of his hand. He even brought some fruit which he prepared and shared with us - we were very touched. Others have said this and we agree- go for an all day safari if you can even though it gets very hot.It was so quiet when the morning safaris had gone and we spent an hour tracking and watching a family of elephants including a tiny baby. Seeing them enjoy a mud bath is a sight we will never forget. We definitely recommend this company to other travellers and hope you have a great time in beautiful Yala.

My girlfriend and I went on Fullday tour to Yala park on October 2013. Before the trip, I contacted Ajith to arrange format of the safari and itenerary of the day. He was always responsive and extremely helpful.
On the safari itself we couldn't ask for better experience. Our driver, Anushka, was really knowledgeable and friendly, and tailor the trip to our request as we had the jeep to ourselves. Mainly thanks to Anushka determination and skill, we managed to see all the usual animals includind a rear sight of 2 leopards eating a carcass.
We had excellent picnic meals on safari great food and drinks. If you're hoping to do yala tour I reccommend to do Full day tour because there's lot to see.
Overall very nice trip and I would consider using Ajith safaris again.

It was a pleasure to use this company for safari. Some earlier reviewers complained that this company is more expensive and it actually is... But I was so happy we used this company as when I saw other companies cars in the park just having a drivers and driving around without any guidance I felt lucky to have a guide next to us who saw more than our eyes did... I believe we wouldn't have seen most of animals without our guide who spotted them.... And lucky us, we saw leopard too but then again it is nature, so do not understand people complaining about not seeing all animals they wanted too... It is not a zoo.....
we arranged return pickup from Tangalle and it was on time and all fine. Very good value for the money! Thanks!
