Ever since the sad news that Casa Mun was closing to start a new venture in Mendoza, we knew we needed to add his newest venture to our travel plans. We barely finished booking the flights before we made sure that there was space for 4 the weekend we planned to travel. Lucky for us, even after relocating, Mun doesn't disappoint! The dishes were all different, interesting and delicious, my favorite being the tuna over crispy rice, and something as simple as his salad can leave you thinking about it for days (what is in that dressing??). The meal was just made better considering the beautiful ambiance, free-flowing and excellently paired wines and the camaraderie of the staff. We had an amazing time, and we will plan to visit every time we are in Mendoza.

We had dinner at Mun 2 nights ago and I can't stop talking about how incredible it was. This, by far, is one of the best dining experiences one could ask for. And, living in NYC, I've had some pretty amazing meals!! Cary and Chef Mun really know how to throw a dinner party and make everyone feel like part of their family. After starting the evening with a delicious sparkling wine overlooking the vineyards, then the fun really begins! We move into a gorgeous dining room lined with oak barrels and a table set for 20 people. Each mouth watering course arrives beautifully pared with a different wine. Chef Mun expertly combines his asian fusion background with traditional Argentinian fare. Who would think sushi and pinot noir would be so delicious?? Mun is a must if you're in Mendoza! Thank you for a memorable evening!!

That was my stepmom's statement during the meal two nights ago.

Chef Mun put on one of the most amazing meals I have ever had, in a beautiful setting, with some fantastic wine pairings, and it was actually fairly reasonable for the price.

The dinner is set up at Casarena Winery, which is about a 30-minute cab ride from downtown Mendoza, in Lujan de Cuyo. It's a beautiful estate, and the dining room is spectacular, with a nice 14-person table set up for a wonderful dinner.

To have this amazing experience, you have to email them directly, but once you get there, you forget the rest of the world exists. We started with some Casarena sparkling wine outside, then went up to the dining room. The meal was five courses, with wines paired for each. Far and away the highlight for me was the Malbec-cooked Wagyu filet, with wasabi mashed potatoes, but that's not to take away from the rest of the meal, all of which was amazing.

We sincerely could not have asked for a better way to finish our first trip to Mendoza. Unequivocally recommended.
