Went to Simone's Italian restaurant recently with a party of six, and had a very good authentic Italian dinner & the bartender even catered to custom martinis we requested. Service was prompt, friendly, professional, and relaxed in the restaurant and the bar. Servers, managers, and bus staff were all willing to chip in where needed when the crowds increased which was nice to see. We had a beautiful dinner outside on their patio, which is terrific weather permitting. We had the veal ragu gnocchi, and spaghetti gamberi, and I would recommend both - they were terrific. Friends also had the spaghetti with clams, and the halibut house special which they thought were excellent. We did have one issue with a dish (Spaghetti Pollo Funghi), with the pasta swimming in too much olive oil. Once drained off, the dish was fine.
Decor inside is nice, open, modern, and funky and they have done a good job creating an elegant atmosphere. We did end up going into the bar for after dinner drinks, and the bartender seemed a bit "junior" as we had some drinks get served chilled that should have been served hot. We gave her a pass for making the martinis for us not on the menu and for the manager actually running across the street for a new bottle of booze they had run out of..

We would definitely go back again for dinner or lunch.

I would love to give this high ratings, we've been there 5 times now, most recently last Friday. The decor is sassy and hip, but that's where the compliments stop. We were told that we could not order appetizers during our wait in their bar area because the hip/mod designer "sofa is white" and "we don't serve food there". So we obliged and drank our very good house wine on their white sofas as they allowed us to do that. While waiting, we noted the menu's told us to check in with our smart phone, onto their Facebook page for a discount. So we did. Then later, our server told us that they did not always honor that, she would have to check. Although the FB discount was also offered in print on the menus at the table, they did not allow it. Hmmmm...The appetizer of beef bites was okay, but came with an overwhelming amount of sauce. We ordered food and what arrived was bland/watery chicken marsala, and under-cooked broccoitini, fettucini alfredo sauce that could have come from a can. The Margerita Pizza was palatable. The total for dinner for 3 was over $120 (for a pasta dinner!) so very uninspiring. Better to drive up to Redmond to get some real Italian food at Tropea, or down to Issaquah to Nicolino's or Lombardi's!

We have been there three times or so, and every time we had some bad experience. The place is very loud (it could use sound dampening) and the food was average: Dry pasta, way too much salt in one of the dishes, and nothing really special or outstanding. It seems to be popular with the locals (which we are as well), but it's not on our list of places to go when we want to go for good food and drinks.

Great location, great food, and friendly service!
Although it may take quite some time to bring you what you ordered, this is understandable given the large crowds that occupy the place :)
Suitable for large gatherings of family and friends, or business alike.

We don't have a lot of options in Sammamish but thankfully this is a decent one. The food is good and the service is decent. This location has been through a few changes and the decor is the best so far. I wouldn't make a special trip to the plateau to go there but it is nice to have a place to grab a drink and bite.
