Marina de bibbona is a huge holiday resort full of people so not the place you would choose for a peaceful week. The villa Corallina is a spectacular exception. A huge villa with a gate which opens into the beach, it has space for 16 people ( we were only 11 including children with a couple of temporary visitors). Beautiful pool, huge grounds with little sitting areas everywhere, massive kitchen and fascinating art all over the house. It was built in 1912 but taken over by the state after the first world war and bought and modernised about 13 years ago. A charming couple, Adriana and Mauricio live in a flat on the property and look after it and the guests very well. It is not cheap, but a very worthwhile place within easy reach of the Tuscan hills.
