Went there for a Sunday evening meal. It was quiet when we arrived and the welcome was warm and very Welsh. Lack of cask bitter was a bit of a shame but there was a good selection of beers. It was very quiet that night but it's clearly a "local".

Food was fine - simple menu, no frills - but that's all you want sometimes. Nicely cooked veg and chips complemented the the excellently good Gammon that I had.

Don't understand why we haven't been here before - but it will be a regular stop now.

We were looking for somewhere to hold a birthday lunch for 15 people (needed wheelchair access and cater for fussy eater) , Tafarn y gors was recommended by a family friend, The service, access and the food was excellent, everyone was very pleased with their meals, I would highly recommend this venue, we will certainly visit again!

My wife and I go out for lunch once a week and like to try different places, we came here after reading about it on trip advisor. Set back from the road this place is easy to miss but you will regret it if you do. Lovely ambiance and we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff.
Lots of choice on the £5.99 lunch menu but we both had Bacon Cheeseburger and chips and wow it was delicious, excellent quality meat tasty cheese amazing home made coleslaw and even the chips (not enough but there never is in these places) had a really nice flavour. The kitchen isn't open very long (2 hours at lunch and 1 hour in the evening I think) but if you catch it open you will be impressed. Can't wait to go back again to try something else.

Lovely home cooked food and plenty of choice, friendly bilingual staff, food is plentiful and very very easy on the purse - where else (apart from McDonalds) would you be able to get a meal for two including drinks for less than £13.50. I would defniately recommend (and have already done so) this place to all my family and friends.
