Just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel. I went with my mum and sister for some much needed relaxation and we weren't disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely and we were impressed with the choice at breakfast. The swimming pool and sauna facilities were fantastic and we all had treatments in the spa which we enjoyed. Only negative we could find was the price of drinks which were very expensive. We will be returning again soon.

My husband and I spent a week traveling around Scotland and just happened to find this hotel one evening. The reception desk people were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable however the couch in the room was stained. The bathroom was also very spacious and well equipped. Our only big disappointment was the dining room and the food. The dining area was more like a pub bar area. For such a fancy hotel, it was very small and tables were much to close for a comfortable private meal and conversation. The food was terrible, especially breakfast. The food was cold with very few choices. I'm not sure if I would stay there again. If we did, we would go out for meals.

I travelled to the Inchyra Hotel with my sister for a little treat for ourselves and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the staff at reception and shown to our room by another friendly member of staff. On our first evening we had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent and served by attentive staff.
The following day we used the pool and steam rooms which were very clean and a pleasure to use and also had some spa treatments which were given by friendly experienced staff and left us feeling pleasant and relaxed.
Overall we had an excellent stay and will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Claire and I booked a long weekend for a relaxing spa break and were delighted with the excellent facilities, the service and our experience overall.

The hotel is wonderful, the steak restaurant is very good and the bar stocks some excellent whiskies. Despite the neighbouring mammoth petrochemical refinery flanking it on the one side and the series of high voltage power pylons on the other, once we were in, we simply soaked in the fantastic spa facilities. We booked 3 massages each and the masseuse each time was brilliant. The pool and the hot rooms are superb and we spent time walking through the extensive grounds and used the gym and the tennis courts.

I'd recommend it again any time.

Room Tip: p.s- check what view your room has because at least a few will overlook the refinery :)

Having previously read reviews on here I was a little pessimistic about our stay here. Gladly, I was surprised with our room which provided excellent accommodation for our family. We started off our day with a refreshment in the bar area... tad expensive to say the least! (£4.50 ave. for a pint, spirit & mixer around the same). We then moved over to the function area, which had no access through the hotel so guests staying had to venture outside to reach there. We were welcomed by a worn, unclean "red carpet", which as the evening wore on became more and more of a trip hazard! The food was then served, tepid "soup"(no taste whatsoever, despite copious amounts of salt & pepper being added). Main course choices of chicken or beef on paper sounded delicious but in fact were equally disappointing with the chicken being very dry and the "braised" beef having been massacred, however the veg was displayed nicely on the plate!!! This was then followed by "sticky toffee pudding" which was a very poor description of what was presented to us... would've been better called "charred-on-top-so-much-that-we've-had-to-cover-it-with-extra-sauce pudding"!!! Bar service was not that great with only one member of staff at times, no wonder people were bringing their own "water" to drink! The buffet provided the tastiest food all day, but sadly was lacking in quantity and a number of guests had to go without. We slept well in our ample room and enjoyed breakfast and the use of the spa next day, but for what I presume to be a very expensive family get together, overall we were disappointed and our gut feeling about other reviews on here proved to be right.
