Trentham Estate is not only a place that is great for shopping & eating, but those of us that enjoy the outdoors, the Italian Gardens are well worth a visit.
The “Estate” is composed of three main areas: the Garden Centre, Shopping Village & The Italian Gardens.

The garden centre is a large glass fronted building, which is in fact so much more than just a garden centre. Inside the open plan layout is filled with clothes, footwear, pottery, glassware, cards, wrapping paper, chocolates, jams, chutneys and pictures, that all run alongside the plants & garden items.

Inside there is also a main restaurant (The Six Arches), Caffé Bello and an Italian restaurant (Terrazzo Del Giardino) with offers both inside & outside eating areas.
The Shopping Village offers a wide variety of shops & eateries, each located in its own wooden hut. The items on offer there go from clothing, shoes, cards, sweets to cheese, wines & beers. There is as they say “something for everyone”.

Within the Italian gardens is a circular lakeside walk that is less than 1 mile in distance. The pathways provide easy access for wheelchairs & buggies. Dogs are allowed entrance, but must be kept on a lead.

At each end of the lake is a café, both with indoor & outdoor seating. The biggest eatery is visible in the distance as you enter the gardens. Next to it is a large children’s play area, plus a barefoot walk. Additionally there is ice-cream available from Snugburys & in the summer months a BBQ.

As an annual pass holder I visit regularly, & can honestly say that buying the pass has been fantastic value, especially when the sun is shining on the lake, & a relaxing walk is what’s needed – with or without the family.

Thank Cath C

Kate was having a problem with her hip so we decided against walking around the lake ,which if you haven't done it give it a try .so we meandered over the river and headed for the sensory garden .as we entered cold sunlight was shafting through the trees ,mystical music lent an ethereal quality to the day ,a sensory feast indeed for your eyes and ears .

We're so glad you've been enjoying your visits to the Gardens! The Italian Gardens are a great place to wander around if the Lakeside Walk is too big of a stretch, especially when it's as frosty as it is this week. We love your descriptions! Especially of the dappled sunlight.

We love visiting here. You can wander amongst the little shops or go into the main garden centre. You can grab a coffee and cake or a full meal. They have a wonderful selection in the garden centre.

The walk round the gardens is lovely and the cafe is located perfectly for taking a break.

Well worth a visit.

We're so pleased you enjoyed your visit to the Estate! This week the Gardens are carpeted with snow and the views down the mile-long lake are magnificent with a clear, crisp Winter sky. The Shopping Village chalets look amazing covered in Snow too! We hope you'll find lots of gift ideas in the run up to Christmas and continue your visits into the new year.

The gardens are truly amazing and always see something new in different seasons - love it! So much to do especially looking round the fab shops too and most of them are dog friendly. Can recommend the Italian restaurant in the garden centre definitely need a day to visit. Only costs £2.50 pp if you use your Tesco Clubcard vouchers but need to buy in advance - what a bargain!

We have a large variety of attractions here on the Estate to suit the whole family, we're so pleased you enjoyed your visit. We are proud to display seasonal interest in the Gardens all year round, currently we're on tenterhooks waiting for our Witch hazels to flower around the Zig-Zag woodland walk! The yellow flowers will give off a magnificent sweet scent. We hope you'll return soon to enjoy another visit.
