As a NI expat living in Scotland, I had risen at 0430am (too early for breakfast) before driving down the A9 to get to Edinburgh Airport for a 0815 flight to Belfast Internationial. As fate would have it, the usual fast food outlets on the way were shut and despite the fact that I could have eaten a "donkey buttered" I am too miserable to buy airport meals. It was therefore a ratty traveller who arrived at the car hire desk where a pleasant young lady recommended the Ballyrobin.
Called in just after 0900 where a really pleasant girl called Helen sorted me out with a "full Ulster" and what a full Ulster it was!My request to replace the soda with extra taty bread was no problem and the whole place was just great service and good food. This was the best full Ulster I have ever had. The only feedback I would offer was that the inclusive fruit juice was the cheap concentrate rather than the real thing which is a shame when everything else was just right. As a middle aged cynic I really thought friendly service, happy staff and good food at a fair price was a thing of the past but this place has got it.More
