Drove past earlier and car park full. Called in on way home to realise that they had only just re opened. Had a pint in the bar whilst browsing through the sunday roasts menu at £8.95 FOR THREE COURSES. YES. I DID SAY £8.95 FOR THREE COURSES. We had garlic mushrooms on toast to start which was good but bread was not toasted it was one of those italian type breads. Not a moan just an observation as it was still quite nice. As it was sunday, only sunday roast available so I had beef and the wife had chicken. The meals came with our meat, gravy and a few roast potatoes on the plate, together with a lovely and unusual flavoured stuffing roll. There was a huge dish of veg then to share, carrots, brocolli, boiled pots, cauliflower etc. Also a jug of extra gravy surrounded by several small yorkshire puds. We both had the New York Cheescake for desert which was also very nice.
Great value for money. Drinks very reasonable too, and very nice staff. Looking at their weekday menu there are loads of offers like burger and a drink for £5. Two main meals for £8 which range from £6.95 to £7.95 each to purchase seperately.
We were well tended to and frequently asked if our food was to our liking. Well done to you and I wish you all the best for the future.
We will definately be going back. Not posh and stuffy but nice all the same.
