We have just returned from a wonderful 4 night visit to The Lion Inn - wished we could have stayed much longer. An old traditional inn with a contemporary style. Tim and Fiona offer the most welcoming hospitality and our visit was delightful, comfortable and ultimately relaxing. Our room was immaculate as was the en-suite. The location was perfect for us, quiet and tucked away, a refreshing countryside retreat with stunning views.. just glorious. Sky TV in each room + a vast and varied DVD collection for those inclined. Wi-Fi available, phone signal slightly limited which didn't concern us on our great escape from 'life' for a few days!! Fiona is an exceptional chef, every meal was delicious. This is not your average B&B. Faultless, exceeded every expectation. Can't wait to return.

A very superior B&B experience in a comfortable old ex-pub with rooms run by a relaxed and friendly couple. Fiona cooks the excellent meals with carefully sourced local produce extremely accurately cooked and with skill allowing the quality of the ingredients to speak for themselves. Tim is in charge of the quaint bar which is mainly residents only but with some local custom. The rooms are well appointed and there is a great selection of DVDs which can be taken up to the rooms and played. Wonderful setting close to the Snowdonia National Park.

My Wife and I came here to celebrate our first wedding Anniversary and must be honest could not have picked a better place. Tim and Fiona are faultless, nothing is too much trouble and always have a smile and a kind word. We stayed in the bothy room which is is fantastic there is restricted head room but that doesn't matter when you are lying on the comfy bed!! blissful two nights sleep. What I found refreshing was the drink prices as normally hotels will hit you hard there but again no complaints, but where this place truly stands out is the food. I had the Steak the first night and have to say it was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it, the wife had Chicken Gwytherin and still has not stopped talking about it. I NEED THE RECIPE Fiona. The breakfast was fantastic and again plenty of it. We loved our weekend here and hopefully will return soon. Thank you once again Tim and Fiona

Just spent two wonderful nights here, whilst on our way to visit family in Anglesey. Couldn't fault a thing! Fiona and Tim were the perfect hosts, and couldn't do enough for us. It was wonderful. Everything from the lovely bar, wonderful room and the fabulous food cooked by Fiona. There were DVD's available that we could watch in the room whilst relaxing. Although have to admit that after such a good relaxing night and food to die for we didn't manage to watch the whole films lol! maybe next time. We left here feeling as though we had made two lovely new friends. Everything was perfect and we will def be back. Thank you Tim and Fiona for a wonderful time.

We had a truly wonderful weekend here. Tim and Fiona could not do enough for us all. The two evening meals we had were both excellent, and the rooms were spotless. this was a beautiful place to unwind, completely off the beaten track, but with all the charm and character that a Welsh village pub commands. This was not your usual bed and breakfast, this excelled in every way. I would recommend this to anyone, you would find it hard to meet this standard of excellency in many a top London hotel....Thanks for a most enjoyable stay.
