What an unexpected pleasure. My room is beautifully decorated with TV, DVD, iPod docking station and a modern bathroom with excellent shower ( complete with instructions for those uninitiated). The hosts are warm , friendly and helpful and the menu is extensive and beautifully cooked and presented. If I come back to UK I would come here again.

Stayed the weekend for a birthday celebration. Very hard to find better quality in terms of food, welcome, room and friendly atmosphere. Tim showed us around when we first arrived and we were made to feel very welcome. The room was very well appointed, with tea and coffee facilities (plus biscuits!), a very comfortable bed, and all very clean and tidy. All meals were beautifully prepared by Fiona and it was a struggle to get up from the table. Great advice on where to go and what to see and indeed we changed our original plan based on Tim and Fiona's advice, something we did not regret. Looking forward to an excuse to go back - although may not wait for an excuse.

My partner chose the Lion Inn as a surprise and I have to say, he couldn't have chosen better. Tim and Fiona were excellent hosts and we were looked after well. Fiona gave us a detailed show around our room (very clean and well presented) which included iPod docking station, DVD player (with a list of DVDs we could borrow) and Satellite TV. The bed was so big and comfortable, it made our King size bed at home feel like a small double! All of the food was delicious, home made and local. Fiona made her own bread which was lovely. Tim lent us a map (as we forgot to take our own) and was a wealth of information on the area. The bar was open in the evenings and the locals made us feel welcome too. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

Stayed for two nights on a without children rare weekend. The inn is beautiful, clean bedrooms with lovely white linen and great wool cushions and throws. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was fabulous - steak that you could chris and chew with ease (a real rarity in UK!!). The bar area was welcoming and Tim had installed a large TV for the Olympics.
Would highly recommend as a great place to stay to explore north Wales.

Was made to feel welcome the moment we walked in with personal greetings and assistance.
The rooms where furnishedto a quality rustic style which was more than comfortable and well equiped. Had the best two nights sleep in ages, beds were super comfy and linen was fresh and crisp. Very clean and well presented rooms with a separate intrance with a front door key to allow full movement 24 hrs.

The restaurant while small was the highlite. Exceptional food cooked fresh daily by Fiona while Tim (front of house) was very attentive, food presented very nicely and at very reasonable prices.

Have stayed in 5 star hotels and never felt as well looked after, great vaue for money... will definitely go back and would highly recommend this snug Pub/B&B.

Room Tip: All rooms are well appointed and charming
