Cottage was very comfortable and inviting. Has a backdoor Patio, with wonderful views. Village is compact, but the 'woollen mill, a few metres along from the cottage, is a fantastic day out. Betws-y-coed is also a great day out, Swiss style shopping and a railway museum. The 'butchers shop' has everything you need to buy for your stay and is open every day. There is also a post office yards from the cottage. Plenty of eating out facilities in the village...a pub, an inn and a 'fairly costly' restaurant. Only problems really, in the cottage, the freezer really needs to be bigger and the upstairs floors need 'noisy creaking' floorboards repaired. (even in an old cottage you would expect to be able to use the bathroom without waking everyone else). If you find hills difficult, there is a river at the back of the cottage which can be accessed from the road nearby or opposite the woollen mill. Fairly close to other villages and towns and the 'Ffestiniog Railway. Bus travel is quite good for a village, that's how we traveled out and about.
