just visited prince's arms for a two night break. fabby food, great welsh welcome (albeit from ex-pat geordies) , best breakfast plateful my tastebuds have ever had, all local welsh produce. will definitely go again, very handy spot for touring north wales hills & coastline.

Room Tip: ask for a river view...(but i think most of them are, it's well designed in that way).

Great location for walking in Snowdonia.
The food in the Hotel is probably amongst the best in the UK.
The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.
We have been many times and so have most of the people we meet there.

Room Tip: All rooms have stunning views

We have been visiting the Princes Arms for a number of years. It is in a picturesque position overlooking the River Conwy in Snowdonia. The bedrooms are comfortable and have recently been refurbished. Lindsay and Ann are excellent hosts; the food is very good value and is well prepared. Nothing is too much trouble. All the main attractions of North Wales are within easy reach, be they on the coast or in the forest. There are plenty of walks in the local area to burn off the additional calories.

Room Tip: All rooms face the river, however rooms 2 and 3 are slightly larger and have more light.

Situated in the Conwy Valley near Llanrwst, this hotel overlooks the river Conwy and benefits from great views to the front of the premises. From the moment I arrived, for my one night stay, nothing was too much trouble for Lyndsey and his staff. There is a really great Welsh welcome to be found on this hillside. A blazing fire in the lounge hit the right note on a prematurely dark and dismal evening. I joined some friends for dinner and we had a great time together in the dinning room. The food was most enjoyable, well cooked and arriving hot to the table. We tucked in with relish. Once again the staff went out of the way to ensure we had a good time. A well stocked bar was utilised to mark the end of a delightful evening. My room, in addition to a good bed, had the benefit of both bath and shower, making for both a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The television was large and could be viewed from the bed - without straining my eyes! The breakfast choices were extensive from the "full hit" of a massive Welsh breakfast to much simpler fayre. Parking is adjacent to the hotel and is very convenient for guests. This is a good location for those who would like to explore both the coast and Snowdonia. Enjoyed it so much I will return!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view - most do look to the front

The Princes Arms is situated overlooking the River Conwy on the back road between Llanwrst and Conwy.

Mine hosts Ann and Lindsay Gordon have run the establishment for almost a quarter of a century and are now adopted Welsh folk - although both cling strongly to their roots in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Berwick-on-Tweed.

The food, prepared by Ann and her kitchen staff is simply divine and well worth a visit if only to dine.

A stay is highlyrecommended though and you will enjoy the superb facilities and wonderful walks in and around the area which borders Snowdonia and is only a short car journey from Snowdon itself.

For the beach lovers the island of Anglesey is less than an hour away and the North Wales coast with Llandudno and Conwy the nearest points even closer.

See you there soon!

We visited the hotel in August for my partners birthday and was glad we had.

The room was great, views wonderful and the staff friend;y. The food in the restauraunt was fantistic, amongst the best I have ever tasted (and I have worked in a top London hotel)).

In fact, we liked the food so much that when we got the chance to move we made sure that it was close enough to the Princes Arms that we could visit it once a month for an evening meal. If you do visit here I recommend the steak and Kindey pudding and the bread and butter pudding - my partner recomends the duck starter, you won't be disappointed.
