Lovely traditional cottage. We stayed during December so it was the perfect winter weekend get away from the city. Walks on the beach during the day and the lovely stove on at the house in the evening. Fully equipt kitchen and board games too.
We spent a week here with our daughter and it has everything you could need for a comfortable break, with a well equipped kitchen and stylish living room. There is a little garden at the back with a swing seat and table and chairs. If you’re travelling with a small person in summer, I recommend you bring a blackout blind to counteract the long Scottish days.
Mid-July and no midges! all made a great difference on our bike and beach ventures. The cottage and all the facilities are of top quality, with easy arrival and departure. We can recommend this property for an enjoyable holiday. Bring your bikes and take them on the boat to Eigg, or make the easy cycle from the cottage to loch Morar.
We have just enjoyed a restful stay at Raasay Cottage. Close to an amazing beach and beautiful walking with all the facilities we could need. Make sure you take midge protection of course! Many thanks
Beautifully appointed cottage, a proper home from home with a lovely breakfast bar where you can sit and watch the garden birds and the wildlife. A lovely outside space to sit and enjoy.
The beach is over the road with stunning views and beautiful golden white sands.
Very much looking forward to returning next year for another wonderful holiday.
The best thing about this property has to be the location - there's no sea view however there are stunning beaches a 5 minute walk away down a narrow path cut out through ferns and sand dunes. The film Local Hero was shot on this beach.
It's also a great location in terms of island hopping as Mallaig, the main port, is only 5 miles away.
The house is a good standard with loads of parking, set in a huge open court yard and good private outdoor space.
The living area is well furnished, the bedrooms are small but then your in a cottage. My favourite feature has to be the window sills, they're all huge due to the nature of the building.
There's a welcome pack containing bread, milk, tea and biscuits.
I've not scored this as excellent due to no dishwasher, poor lighting in the bathroom and a very cold floor.
We were more than familiar the location which is why we initially picked the cottage. The cottage itself is fitted out to a very high standard and we were short of nothing.
