“Wonderful Luxury Cottage...”
Reviewed November 4, 2015 for a stay in October 2015
people found this review helpful

My wife, 3 year old son and I enjoyed a weeks stay at this cottage in October. The cottage is finished to a very high standard, clean and well maintained and truly felt like a home form home

Everything required for your stay is supplied all you need to bring is clothes and food, and even then there is fresh bread, milk and shortbread waiting for you on your arrival.

The owners also supply an information pack for the the local area, which whenever I needed to know something, always seemed to have the answer I was looking for.

Mallaig is a matter of minutes away where we took advantage of the local ferries and train station. This is also where the local supermarket is. A very well stocked co-op.

Within a five minute walk of the cottage, literally across the road and over the wee hill, is one of the most picturesque beaches I have ever seen. Silver sand and rocky outcrops. Truly breathtaking. Even in late October we couldn't resist building a few sandcastles.

If you have a young family a drive to Kilchoan offers a ferry to Balamory, I mean Tobermory on the Isle of mull. This is well worth the drive even though 20+ miles of the road is single track!

Perhaps the best bit however is snuggling up at night in front of the TV with the log fire burning away!
