Glenwood Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #8 of 10 Morar B&B and Inns
Reviewed June 13, 2012

We stayed overnight at Glenwood on 10th and 11th June and there is not much more I can add to the reviews already placed here other than to say I wholeheartedly agree with each of them. The house and room were both immaculate and the facilities were excellent. We were made very welcome by Claire. The location is excellent for strolls to the nearby beaches and Arisaig and Morar are both just a short drive away. Excellent breakfast picked by you the previous evening and at a time to suit you. Glenwood is also a handy base for golfers as Traigh golf course is just a short drive from it along the coastal road. I would thoroughly recommend Glenwood to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

We stayed in the Family room in the Glenwood on the 2nd of June for one night. After the breath taking drive to this stunning property we were completely blown away. The property is off one of the country roads with amazing views from the garden. We were greeted by Claire the owner she is lovely lady and we were made to feel very welcome. When we entered the property we instantly fell in love it is beautiful. (I def had house envy) we were asked to take our shoes off as she has stunning solid Oak floors throughout which is completely understandable they have worked hard to get everything perfect so why ruin it.

we were taken to our room everything was gorgeous and is finished to a very high standard. There was a double bed and a set of bunk beds they were all so comfortable.. the room was spotless and fresh towels were provided. there was also a tray with a kettle for tea and coffee to help yourself. we had breakfast in the morning which was top notch you can choose from a full fry up or lighter breakfasts like porridge or scrambled egg on toast which is a nice touch to have the option.

the house itself is about 5-10mins walk to the silver sand beach and a short drive to Mallaig. We would definetly recommend the steam inn in Mallaig for dinner.

The only issue we would say is... that we wish we had stayed longer which is our own fault but we will definetly be returning and have recommended this to our friends and family.

Thank you so much for making our stay so special.

Very friendly b and b in a beautiful corner of Scotland. Claire was very accommodating with my constantly changing plans! The house is lovely, and the room was large with a good bed and great shower. Thanks for a good stay, sorry I couldn't stay longer.

We had the family room for a weekend and the owners Claire and Simon couldn't have been nicer. The house was absolutely beautiful, great showers and very comfortable beds, breakfast is also highly recommeded. The setting is absolutely stunning with a 5 minute walk to one of the nicest beaches in Scotland (Camusdarrach Beach). All in all one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in and I would recommend that if you are visiting this part of Scotland you try them out. Have already recommend them to all my friends. Thanks Claire and Simon for a great weekend, thanks also to their children who made my son very welcome too.
