Description: The Old Mill in Killearn, formerly a weaving mill and now a characterful pub and restaurant within this charming 18th Century steading, complete with ceiling beams and cosy snug. Our beer garden, with childrens play area, offers a very relaxed alfresco dining option for both lunch and dinner, which is always a winner when the sun is shining. During more typical Scottish weather you can warm up by the open fire with a wee dram. Our menu offers the best of local Scottish produce, responsibly sourced, lovingly prepared and skillfully presented.

“Fab lunch in this unassuming little place!”

Stopped off for lunch here as we were passing through the area. Didn't know anything about the place so had no expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. A very varied menu with all the usual pub classics and plenty of tradition Scottish fare. I had haggis fritters to start and then cod goujons, both were extremely tasty and great value for money. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.

“Excellent”

Perfect for lunch in the sunny beer garden after the walk from Strathblane. Cajun chicken burger was lovely, burger looked pretty good too. Friendly staff, good atmosphere inside and out. Overall a great day.

“Good, well presented food and helpful staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

Had another very good meal at this restaurant at lunchtime. The quality of the food was very good. There was a good selection of meal options, which vary from time to time.
The staff were very helpful, efficient and patient. There was pleasant background music on at the time. The fire was on and looked very welcoming.

“Superb food and good value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2014

Worth travelling to. Excellent food. A good variety and very well cooked. All very reasonably priced. We ate there twice and enjoyed both meals. It can get busy so worth booking. The staff are friendly and very efficient. The only gripes were that the real ale (just one available) ran out on the second night and the cauliflower and okra curry was really just a cauliflower curry - the okra was apparently in the sauce? Pies and fish were great though.

“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2014 via mobile

Hadn't seen other reviews before deciding to go. Were pleasantly surprised by the menu choices and even happier with the food itself. Hake, salmon & steak were cooked to perfection. Desserts (sticky toffee pudding, apple charlotte) were very good. Portions are generous.
Waitress was extremely helpful.
Quiet, no background music.
They sometimes have large groups in for lunch, so check if you are in a hurry.
Overall a wonderful lunch.
