Thank you Amanda and Jon for a truly perfect stay in your lovely home.
We stayed in the 'attic suite' which was, by far, the nicest rooms we have stayed in at any price. The little extra touches like the wine on arrival, which we drank while relaxing in your very colourful garden and the strawberries that you thoughtfully provided after a long day's exploring demonstrate your commitment to providing a truly memorable stay.
The breakfast was an epicurean delight of the finest local produce with meticulous attention to presentation. As for the freshly squeezed orange juice......delicious!
All of the little things were perfect, the fluffy towels, the quality of the toiletries, the comprehensive tea selection and fresh ground coffee in our suite, the hot and powerful shower, I could go on!
But most of all was the very warm, very sincere and very caring way in which you treated us. We will be back!

P.S. Your local knowledge and advice on all things from where to eat and how to avoid the traffic were spot on!

Room Tip: If the attic suite is available, book it!

Following on from previous reviews, I can only whole heartedly agree to what a wonderful experience staying at the Harvest House is. Amanda and Jon are stars, the house is beautiful with wonderful gardens, all the little luxuries are thought of, all with a personal touch (which you won't find in bigger accommodations) and the breakfast, oh my word, absolutely gorgeous.

I really can't praise everything enough, it is indeed a beautiful gem to stay at. The only downside is that we weren't there for longer - thats for us to rectify next time!

Thank you Amanda and Jon for letting us share your home, we hope to see you again in the future.

Thank you Amanda and Jon for such a lovely short stay with you. Although I was staying away as part of a business trip your hospitality, the wonderful location and delicious breakfasts gave my stay a real "holiday" feel! Your attention to detail, with thoughtful extra touches like complimentary wine and the delicious dates, was fabulous and made my stay extra enjoyable. And I was lucky enough to have the Attic Room which was extremely comfortable and spacious and beautifully decorated and accessorised - I loved the coastal theme. And of course I was delighted to see the beautiful Le Creuset Petite Casseroles being used to serve jam and marmalade at breakfast! I will be very happy to recommend Harvest House to family, friends and colleagues. Hope to see you again next time I'm in MoS! Many thanks, best wishes, Alison.

I wanted to return to the New Forest area for a few days to celebrate my 55th birthday.
On comparing the reviews on Tripadvisor for here and other local establishments, Harvest House stood out by a mile.
Too good to be true thought I, having a PhD in cynicism. So I booked 3 nights for me and the wife.
Result? Everything written is true, from the moment you arrive you know you are going to be looked after. If all B and Bs were like this I would never book another hotel.
Congratulations to Amanda and John for the standards they have achieved and maintain perfectly and thanks for the guidance on the best eating places in town.
Captain Peacock and his beloved will return

As I write this review of our recent visit to Harvest House, I see that around 130 people have given it 5 Stars with the rest giving it 4 Stars. Can't imagine why they knocked of 1 Star. Maybe it was the weather!

So, what can I add to help? Not much other than to say if Harvest House was somehow listed in a greater area, you would never get in! Amanda and Jon are both very 'chatty' and really want visitors to make the most of their time in the area and will advise on a couple of their favourite eateries and also on what's good to see which we found extremely helpful. Also, with double-glazed windows, a house set back 50 yards from a quiet road, we didn't hear a thing.

This is 3 story home but don't worry if you have heavy bags as Amanda will help! Also, we loved the guest sitting room and wood burner stove especially with the complimentary chilled wine on our first evening. Car enthusiasts will also have a lot to talk to with Jon who has restored some classic cars in his time. Also impressive is Amanda and Jon's contribution to improving the environment with a significant investment in solar power and recycling.

Room Tip: Speak with Amanda about the options

After wondering where to go for a few days break a friend recommended Harvest House as she had recently moved to the area. How lucky were we to be able to stay in The Attic, so light and clean and comfortable. Every day when we returned from our sightseeing we enjoyed finding out what little treats had been left for us. The breakfasts were sublime with Jon and Amanda making us feel like one of the family. Nothing was too much trouble. The house was in such a lovely setting with wonderful gardens. If we are ever in the area again this will be our first port of call. Lovely little village where everyone was so friendly and helpful. Two very enjoyable evenings spent at The Raft, delicious food and very friendly staff, even the rain couldnt dampen everyone's spirits! Have already recommended this wonderful bed and breakfast to several of our friends should they ever want to take a trip down to this part of the country. Dorothy and Freddy, Cardiff.

Room Tip: Attic Room provides complete privacy.
