We have dined here several times, most recently for my daughter's belated 30th and a joint birthday celebration, neither of which were disappointing.
This venue creates a timeless elegance, the building is atmospheric and the service is warm and friendly without being overly pretentious, which can occur in these grand venues from time to time.
It is fine dining although not excessively priced, so can be an affordable occasion. The menu is always varied and interesting and a pleasant treat is having the pianist playing subtly in the background. It is rather pleasant to dress for dinner and find that there is no chance of discovering that fellow diners are sporting jeans!
We are fortunate in that there are several large establishments of this nature within the local area, however we will continue to return here for its consistency in both food, atmosphere and value.

Excellent service on a Sunday evening and a Monday morning - very helpful staff and very good food though we didn't like the champagne sorbet.

Fabulous deal at present for mid week Spa Days with Lunch and treatment, the massage was the best we had all had. The lunch was simple and delicious, however order one of the puddings, ie walnut parfait and, pistachio sorbet with honeycomb toffee yum. The afternoon tea tray in the pool felt decadent - just chill. Arranging for the concierge to get the cycles ready, very lady of the manor, cycling through the grounds on a crisp winter's day, can you imagine.

Food was gorgeous very tasty!!
Service attentive not stuffy.
I loved the old fashioned way your food had a silver dish over it revealed by the waiter making it very grand.
Would definitely go back it was superb.
