We have dined here several times, most recently for my daughter's belated 30th and a joint birthday celebration, neither of which were disappointing.
This venue creates a timeless elegance, the building is atmospheric and the service is warm and friendly without being overly pretentious, which can occur in these grand venues from time to time.
It is fine dining although not excessively priced, so can be an affordable occasion. The menu is always varied and interesting and a pleasant treat is having the pianist playing subtly in the background. It is rather pleasant to dress for dinner and find that there is no chance of discovering that fellow diners are sporting jeans!
We are fortunate in that there are several large establishments of this nature within the local area, however we will continue to return here for its consistency in both food, atmosphere and value.
