I was lucky enough to stay here for one night on my Birthday. The approach to the hotel cannot fail to impress you - lovely manicured lawns and flowerbeds and a sweeping gravelled drive. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was more of a suite with a hallway, lounge and seating area and a large bathroom. The fresh fruit and chocolates and Nespresso coffee maker were a very welcome sight. The room had views over the front of the hotel. The weather was sunny so we enjoyed a stroll around the grounds to the duck pond, and down to the bridge across the lake. Excellent photo opportunity. This is a very grand hotel and you are encouraged to explore the grounds and the buildings. Very impressive. The staff were happy to show us around, Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool or the spa which did look very welcoming. Dinner was included so we dressed up for the occasion. Unfortunately, although we had advised the reception that it was my birthday, the restaurant staff weren't aware and when a surprise birthday dessert was brought across to the lady on the table next to me it was a little disappointing. However, the meal was excellent - 7 courses including sorbet and coffee. We had breakfast served in the room - so we were able to have a relaxing start to the day. Excellent choice of hotel for a special occasion.

Room Tip: Our room in the main building was full of character with some lovely period furniture and ornaments...

We decided to stay at Tynley Hall to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. The moment we pulled up at the front door to the moment we left we were in heaven. The staff could not do enough for us, the food was great and a wonderfully large executive room . The only thing to mar our night was the drunk from a wedding party shouting in he car park under our window...not the hotel's fault. So many times we have stayed in a beautiful hotel in England only to be let down by the lack of detail. Tynley had it all, the facilities from a great gym and lovely pool made me think... Lets do it again

This is our second time staying at Tylney Hall- this time for four nights. The staff have been absolutely fantastic throughout the entire stay, and we couldn't have been treated better.
We also had the grown up children and grand children stay for the weekend, and while we were a little nervous(!!!) the staff made everyone welcome, and couldn't have done more. The suite for the family with young children was superb, and they were very spoilt! The cot and single bed, made everyone's life easier!
The cuisine (including high tea), has been presented immaculately and on time. A good variety, with quite a selection of organic options.
The wine list was just superb, and we had a great time sampling them.
Our thanks go to all staff.

Room Tip: Last year we stayed in what was the old stables- these are facing the lily ponds and are two storied...

The initial impression of this magnificent building was WOW our expectation of our nights stay was set quite high. On arrival 2.30pm advised room not available but have drinks in lounge, waited 10 -15 mins no one approached to offer drinks so we left and wandered around the grounds, which are beautiful and comparable to a national trust property; returning to reception 3.25pm advised room still not available. Then advised our initial room had been changed to another. A very nice porter escorted us to our room, no 94. It was set up as a family room with a cot & put me up bed, there was just the 2 of us! The porter rang thru and checked was correct room. We had booked a deluxe and were advised this was an executive, it was a big room - but size isn't everything, it was cold and dark. The housekeeping staff arrived promptly to remove the additional beds & were very pleasant, offering bed turn down later. We booked the summer break deal £290 dinner bed & breakfast plus chocolates, fruit & cream tea on arrival, we chose this deal as it was the same price as the dinner bed & breakfast option. We had to ask the porter for the additional items, the cream tea & fruit arrived promptly, the chocolates never materialised. We had requested dinner for 8pm however been advised not possible on a Sat eve, instead we were booked for 9.30pm we advised too late and requested this be changed to 9pm, we went for drinks prior to dinner and were finally seen thru to the restaurant at 9.25pm so the original booking had obviously not been amended as the receptionist had confirmed. One of us order the roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast pots & veg, the beef was phenomenal however the veg consisted of 1 green bean, 2 & 1/2 carrot sticks and 3 florets of broccoli, the roast potatoes were soggy, just over cooked new pots. The bed was really comfortable however at 4am we were awoken by extremely noisy guests who had left a wedding reception at the hotel. I feel had we been in the original room we wouldn't have been disturbed, think the hotel has a responsibility of putting guests from a function at the hotel together and allow other guests to get a peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast was nice however we were questioned as to where our children were as it indicated there should have been four of us! All in all we would call our stay mixed & disappointing, not very good value for money.

Dinning at this hotel was a very pleasant and satisfying day. The staff where exceptional and seemed more than pleased to satisfy any demands, and where well aware of all requirements made at the time of booking. The food was excellent. The hotel boasts a very clean and smart property, with large bespoke en suite bedrooms, the gardens are a pleasure to walk round. All in all truly recommended.

Room Tip: I think any one would be more than please with any of the rooms

We stayed here for a family wedding and were impressed from start to finish by every aspect of our stay from the location, beautiful and extensive grounds, glorious public rooms, first class comfortable and well equipped bedroom suite; all of this made more pleasurable by the attention and service of the staff which exemplified good training without being overbearing.

We were there for a family wedding which was one of the loveliest we have been to from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast - wine and menus were perfect and the rain held off at just the right moments. Totally memorable.

Room Tip: We loved being on the top floor of the main house and watched the swifts nesting under the eaves out...
