Stayed here two nights August 2013. Lovely room, very helpful and friendly staff/owners and a relaxed welcoming atmostphere. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal and bottle of wine the first night and this was especially welcome as we had had a tiring day and a long journey.Breakfasts were well cooked with a good cafetiere of coffee. Could have stayed longer. Lots of places in the area to eat in the evening within driving distance but would not have wanted to walk back from them. eating in was the best option for us!!

My partner and I had to book a last minute hotel in the area. Travelling from Brighton, we booked the room at lunchtime and made it to the hotel just before midnight. We were given help via the phone, were allowed late entry and a personal sign directed us to our room.
The room and bathroom were beautiful and great value for money. Our view looked out onto a field of horses. The house itself is stunning, lovingly cared for and well presented. We enjoyed a full English breakfast looking out onto the large garden area and unfortunately we had to leave soon after due to a commitment.
We are really looking forward to coming back and staying again and for longer. Ken and his staff were so very accommodating and certainly worth a visit. The rates are very good for the service you receive and the personal touch is priceless.

Thank you for a very relaxing break in a beautiful location. Our room was very attractive with everything provided and the breakfasts, cooked to order, were delicious. A pleasant surprise was the bus service to Liverpool and West Kirkby every 10 minutes from outside the door which saved a lot of worries about driving and parking in the city. Ken and his staff are so friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back.

Our fifth stay at this superb family guest house, whilst visiting friends in the area. On arrival, we were welcomed by Ken, who immediately made us feel at home. Our accommodation was extremely comfortable, with many extras. The breakfast was one of the highlights with a superb choice of fruits, crolssants and cereals followed by a freshly cooked full English. Ken and Sue have lovely staff, who are efficient and friendly. adding to the ambience. By chance, we chose a weekend of excellent weather which enhanced our stay. Look forward to our sixth visit next year.
