Sunday lunch -
Burnt Yorkshire puddings
Beef was over but the lamb was excellent
Roasties had been sat in fat too long and had become hard
Cauliflower cheese was watery and the cheese sauce not good at all
Veg was good
Lovey pub atmosphere
Tables were far too close together in the restaurant but this was rectified by moving into the bar area.
Arrived and stood next to the manager and 4 waitresses yet was not acknowledged for 5 minutes
Had to ask multiple times for a drink then they arrived in double - lack of communication with the bar staff.
Asked 5 members of staff for a crayon - only one actually came back to say he couldn’t find one.
Had to get up and go and ask for the bill as all staff were huddled around the till chatting.
Such a shame as there is potential for an excellent meal here especially with the beer garden and the cosy feel of the pub but it is seriously lacking in management and the waitresses need training properly if it is to get any better.
