We have just returned from a night at Ringwood hall for our nephews wedding, the room was spotless, the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The food was lovely and plentiful and the room set up was very well executed.

We have one negative comment which is that the drinks are beyond expensive and it did put a slight downer on the night out. £1.75 for a 250ml lemonade, £4.80 for a bottle of cider, absolutely over the top! As a small family of 3 a round of drinks cost over £10 which is very disappointing,

we would love to stay again but we could not afford to purely down to the cost of the drinks.

Room Tip: There are alot of rooms within the hall so be prepared for quite a walk and alot of stairs.

Delighted to read how much you enjoyed your stay with us on the occasion of your nephew`s wedding taking place at Ringwood.

Disappointing to read your feedback with regard to the cost of the drinks at the bar. Inevitably hotel bar prices are higher than pubs and restaurants but we do our best not to mirror some prices charged by hotels and, generally we are on a par or lower than our local competitors.

Nonetheless it does not seem to have spoilt your enjoyment of the day and it was pleasing to read that you found the food quality to be exceptional and as importantly you were met by friendly, courteous and helpful staff.

We truly hope that you will return to visit us again.

We have just spent a lovely weekend at Ringwood Hall in apartment 402. These apartments are great for family's ours had a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, lounge with a sofa Bed, double bedroom and spacious bathroom. They are situated away from the hotel with plenty of green space and parking but still within easy distance to all hotel facilities making them an ideal choice to have the space with still having the hotel at hand. Our 1st evening we chose to have rooms service which was excellently presented and pipping hot on our second evening we had our evening meal in the resident restaurant which was upstairs in a lovely room overlooking the gardens with the added bonus of a classical guitar player to add to the ambiance. As per usual the food was outstanding and the service by staff excellent nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff they really go out their way to make your stay very pleasant. We spent quality family time walking in the gardens of Ringwood which are spectacular and visited the hotels leisure club enjoying splash time in the pool and some adult time enjoying the sauna and steam room. This hotel is one of the best that I have stayed in and being an ex travel agent we have stayed in lots, a lot of the larger hotels fail to offer the personal service that you always receive at Ringwood Hall if you have not been then you are truly missing out on this perfect English Gem

What a delightful review, thank you for taking the time and trouble to write it.

Our Devonshire House Apartmentsare ideal for a family leisure break as they enjoy such extensive facilities and have private parking in a spacious setting.

Of course, as you experienced from taking room service, these apartments enjoy the benefit of all the facilities of the hotel and yet offer peace and privacy at the same time.

Delighted that your stay was so enjoyable and that you were able to take time to use all of the facilities. It was particularly gratifying to read that you enjoyed the live music that we provide on a Saturday evening in the restaurant. James plays every Saturday evening between 7pm and 10pm and we think it creates a charming ambience in the dining room which overlooks the garden.

Your praise of the facilities and your lovely description of Ringwood Hall as "An English Gem" iis charming and we hope that we have the opportunity of welcoming you back on lots more occasions.

My in laws paid for us to stay the weekend on a KGB offer as a belated Christmas present. What a lovely gift. We didn't expect it to be as lovely as it was. We were in the fleur markham room and it was amazing, with a bath in the room and a separate en-suite with shower. It was lovely to be separate from the main hotel especially as there were weddings on both nights, so we weren't disturbed by the guests. The main road outside our room was quite noisy however I am a light sleeper and its nothing a pair of earplugs couldnt sort. It didn't bother my husband. The grounds are lovely and staff very friendly, shame we couldn't order the weather. We would definitely recommend it and will stay again if we can get someone to look after the children again.

Thank you for your lovely review following your enjoyable weekend break at Ringwood Hall.

Delighted to read that you had been accommodated in the Bothy rooms and therefore enjoyed a private and peaceful stay in one of our feature rooms. Adjacent to a main highway these are triple glazed and therefore most guests are unaffected, as indeed you were not, by the traffic in the morning.

Do try and come and see us again particularly between May and October when the gardens are in full bloom and just amazing to walk around.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

My wife and i had our wedding here at the end of April and all i can say it that everything was beyond our high expectations.

From the very start our wedding planner Mandy was fantastic she worked well with my wife and every level of detail we had requested was catered for! Massive thanks to you Mandy!

On the day of the wedding all the Ringwood staff were brilliant, very well organised and hard working. We had the choice of having the ceremony in the coach house (which is the best room to hire out in my opinion as its full of character) our outside at the bottom of the bowling green. With the English weather as unpredictable as always I waited until the very last minute before making a decision. Michael, the Opps Manager, had set up both locations before the ceremony started. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him and the weather turned out nice and we were able to have the ceremony outside which was amazing!

Our MC for the day was Lyndon and he was magnificent. He made sure all 102 guests were looked after, worked well with our photographer to get the wedding party together for pictures and like Michael nothing was ever too much trouble. He also counselled me through out the day as the nerves kicked in. Lyndon thanks for your patience at times!

The catering staff we like a well oiled machine and I must give a very special mention to Alan who didn’t stop clearing plates away all night. I think he walked the distance of a full marathon that day and he put all the younger members of staff to shame. He even came over during the meal to introduce himself to my wife and I to let us know he was there for us if we needed anything. He made my wife’s day, even more so than I did I think:), with his kindness and hard work. Alan keep up the outstanding work and I trust that the senior members at Ringwood know what a great asset you are to their business! I hope your hard work is and does get recognised!

Finally after speaking to our guests in the morning after the wedding, over the very nice breakfast, all were extremely happy with their rooms one even commented that his bed was so big he “had to call the wife” in the morning to ask where she was!

Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ringwood as a wedding venue. There was another wedding on that day but we never saw anyone from their party. Our whole day was perfect and our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed our wedding and how much they liked the venue. That’s all you can ever ask for. All the staff were very hard working and again a special mention to Mandy & Sarah (Wedding Planners), Michael (Opps Man), Lyndon (MC), Alan (Catering), and the reception staff for simply be brilliant at what they do.

A very happy and thankful,

Mr & Mrs J Wild

What a delightful review, thank you so much for leaving on this important website.

As a Gerorgian Manor House, Ringwood Hall is steeped in history and all the refurbsihments and renovations that have gone on both in the building itself, and within the extensive Victorian gardens and parkland have been done in such a way to ensure that the traditional styles are retained, but with a contemporary feel.

Delighted that you enjoyed your stay as much as you did and found the food and service to be so exceptional.

Whilst Ringwood Hall inevitably attracts considerable bridal couples to us for their wedding celebrations, our position on the gateway to the Peak District does mean that we have extensive numbers of guests visiting the area for leisure breaks and shopping trips.

We are fortunate to have a courtyard of delightful bedrooms, converted from former servant accommodation which provide peace and privacy away from the hotel and the"excitable" and therefore sometimes noisy parties taking place.

To complement these rooms we also enjoy the benefit of a Cocktail Bar principally dedicated to the use of residents only and a first floor dining room, the Hollingwood Suite, overlooking the gardens and parkland.

Delighted that you were able to enjoy all of these facilities and that your leisure break was so much enjoyed.

We hope to welcome you back and thank you for your kind recommendations.

My wife and I have just stayed for two nights at the Ringwood Hall, where we enjoyed a family get-together, courtesy of a KGB deal. My disabled mother-in-law didn't get the disabled room we had requested, but the reception staff sorted out a very good alternative for her, albeit in a different part of the hotel to the other three rooms we had. The character of the building meant we had a long trek up and down stairs to our room, but we were very happy with the quality of the furnishing, the bed, the bathroom and the view out of the window. We enjoyed our meal in the bar (the restaurant was full) on the first night and in the restaurant on the second night, and the breakfasts were also excellent.
Our only gripe was the fact that we felt that the weekend guests such as ourselves could, with a bit of planning, be put in rooms where the guests from the weddings wouldn't disturb our sleep, as they did on both nights.
All of the staff were friendly, helpful and keen to make our stay as good as possible.
I would go back to this hotel, but probably try to avoid wedding weekends!

Thank you for taking the trouble to leave your review and pleasing to read that, on the whole, you had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

It does seem that you may have been a little unlucky with the rooms allocated to you and your family as, you may agree from the previous review we do have delightful facilities including bedrooms which have been developed to provide a pleasant experience for guests away from the wedding parties.

The one disadvantage of these courtyard rooms, which are called the Bothy rooms, is that they do require a short walk through the gardens to access them and are therefore fairly unsuitable for guests with limited mobility.

Having checked our records I can see that your mother in law was allocated a ground floor bedroom in the Clock Tower which is immediately adjacent to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and therefore required very little movement for her.

However it seems that this did not spoil your enjoyment of your stay and that in princilpe your dining experiences, both at dinner and breakfast, were first class and that you found the staff to be attentive and friendly at all times.

We hope that you return for another family gathering and please, do ask for the Bothy rooms as I am sure you will find these extremely peaceful and pleasant.

I stayed two nights at this hotel with my boyfriend. The reception staff were friendly on arrival and we were directed back to our room which was in the gatehouse. The room, despite being next to the road, was extremely quiet, the bathroom and room and bed were huge and in very good condition. the shower was hot and powerful. we ate at the restaurant both nights, the mains were good and my dessert the first night was fantastic, the serving staff were excellent and the room designated as the dining room was lovely, pretty and airy. In fact all of the rooms in the main hotel were decorated differently, each with style and lots of reminders of the building's Georgian roots. breakfast was a buffet with lots of choice and we were able to eat in the conservatory on the second morning which was lovely. the grounds at the back are very pretty if you get a chance to walk around them. the hotel had a pool which we didn't use.
The best thing about this hotel was the consideration for non-wedding guests; the separate bar and dining room and even putting us in a room far away from the noise. That really meant a lot to us, we were able to relax in peace and quiet. We hope to return and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. well done Ringwood Hall!

We came to this hotel for my best friends wedding a week ago and I would just like to say a huge thankyou to Lyndon and his team for their time, effort and hard work. They were very patient with us, made the day run so so smoothly and couldn't do enough for us to make sure that the bride and grooms day was perfect. Thankyou!!
Also as a hotel itself, we stayed over after the wedding and were very happy with the quality of the rooms, food, and the stay overall. The bed was SO comfy - I didn't want to get up, and the bathroom was very clean, hot shower and lovely soft towels. We then enjoyed a beautiful buffet breakfast with plenty of choice.
As a wedding venue, this hotel is a great choice - the grounds are beautiful (and it was a bonus that the sun was out for us!), the food was delicious, the team were excellent (even making sure the brides grandad got a cup of tea!), and I know the bride and groom are very happy they held their wedding here. One small thing to point out is that the bar prices are a little steep, but overall we were very satisfied with our time at the hotel.
Thanks again.

Thankyou for taking the time and trouble to leave this lovely review which was a pleasure to read.

Delighted that you had such a lovely time at your best friend`s wedding and that everything that you found at the hotel was first class.

It is the little touches that make a big difference to a couple`s wedding day, like making sure that the older family members get that cup of tea that they cleary would like more than anything else on the day! I was so pleased to read that the weather was kind and that you were able to enjoy our delightful gardens in the sunshine.

Lyndon, as the MC, will have been the person responsible for leading his team through the day and to have been making sure that every little detail was attended to. You may be certain that he will be acknowledged for your kind praise.

We hope to welcome you back on future occasions.
