“Good Italian”
Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

I have visited this restaurant once and was pleasantly surprised! Looks a lot bigger from the inside. Food and service was great, nice variety of food and specials available. Would definitely come back if I was in the area!

“Nearly great”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

The good:
Great pizzas, lovely salads, excellent service and a pleasant dining room. All at fair prices.

The bad:
Don't book a table using the form on their website ("we don't accept online bookings")

The ugly:
An encrusted, unwashed fork
You have to fight past a stack of chairs to get to the toilets
The lock on the toilet door is broken

“Eat your crusts”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Im just back from an 'all you can eat lunch.' £5.95 per person. They only offer pizza and pasta. Salad has to be paid for separately.
The group I was with fancied a bit of pizza and some pasta, but it seems that you can't have both at the same time. You have to finish one course before ordering another. One of those who started with the pizza was told ( quite seriously) that she couldnt order anything else until she had finished the pizza. At this stage she had a pile of dry crusts on her plate. The waiter relented and let her have some pasta. Due to the delays between courses, I had to leave my meal to move my car as we had been at the restaurant for over an hour. The food was good, but the price of a bottle of water was excessive - £4.50 for .75litre

“Fantastico!”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Finding a good quality restaurant is easier said than done, with the price you pay for a meal not always reflected in either the quality of the product or the service proided. Maurizio's ticks all of the boxes for all of the right reasons.

It is not cheap, although not ovverly expensive either, but they offer a great product. Great food and service to match.

My only moan? Maybe the service was a little too quick. When out with friends you sometimes want a longer time between courses to enjoy the conversation (although this depends, of course, on the quality of the conversation and company!)

Well worth a visit, especially worth having a taste of the calamari which was delicious!!

“Highly recommended.”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

It's always pleasure to eat good home cooked Italian food in this restaurant. So much better than eating in a chain.
