We stayed recently at the Red Lion Hotel in Radlett and were really impressed at the way in which staff and management bent over backwards to assist in our special needs and were understanding of our cultural and religious requirements. The rooms were clean and amply furnished and we were satisfied all round. We would definitely stay there again.

we booked out the whole hotel (13 rooms) for a family function over the 6-7th july 2012. the staff took time up front to understand the needs of each family in each room, including extra beds and bedding where appropriate. they appreciated the complexity of our needs and allowed us to store a number of items in advance, which was hugely helpful. all of the management team went out of their way to ensure that our very specific requirements for the function room were met in full. various dietary and/or religious requirements were noted and supported throughout the weekend. best of all, every member of staff we had contact with was courteous and friendly - many of our guests commented on what a difference this made to their stay. a particular thank you to the head chef for dealing with constant interruptions and requests, always with a smile on his face and an assurance that it was 'no problem'. we definitely plan to use the red lion again.

Booked eleven rooms over a three/four day period. All our guests were delighted with their accomodation. The rooms were clean, the staff were outstanding - we had a baby in our party and an eighty year old and nothing was too much trouble to accomodate - the food was good, the breakfasts were wonderful and the hot chips are totally divine. Fantastic location if you want to get into London as the train station is just over the road - nice restaurants and adequate shops (tesco etc) nearby - car park for the hotel is great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone anytime. A most enjoyable stay - thank you.

we stayed one saturday night here and on arrival the car park was a lovely bonus and the greeting was absolutely fabulous, the chap couldnt do enough for us :) being early evening it was quiet and welcoming. Our room was lovely, clean albeit with a tiny tiny bathroom (but it did the job) plenty of lights and mirrors and the bed very comfortable.....however as the time went on (about 8pm) the bar filled with loud mouthed, chav types who were obviously locals who liked a good swear and shout at their 'mates'. got the feeling it was all a bit rough and ready, the local ageinf chav haunt when they'd all finished their macdonalds dinners!
All in all a lovely hotel, great staff, good room but only if you are not planning on staying around the area or drinking/eating in the hotel. breakfast the next morning was really gorgeous I may add!

Spent 3 nights in the lovely pub/inn in the center of busy Radlett. The rooms are newly renovated all with air conditioning. We had a large deluxe room with a king size bed & included a hearty breakfast with several choices. A private car park for guests. Would stay there again anytime!

Room Tip: We had room # 4 & it was directly over the pub. So if you are a light sleeper, this may not be...

Checked in early as we arrived early to leave the luggage. Finally got to the hotel in the evening after 11pm. There was a wedding reception under our room, and we were told they would finish before midnight, which it did. The room was not big, but adequate. Good shower / bath with good range of toiletries, plus tea / coffee. We didn't book in for breakfast so can't comment on the restaurant.

I put my family up here last year and it was superb value for money, in a great location, right in the center of Radlett village. The rates at the time were good and meant good value for money. It encouraged me to invite friends down for my birthday and they all stayed at the hotel. I'm not sure what the rates are like now after the refurbishment but I'm hoping the weekend rates are still attractive.

We ate in the retaurant last week with friends and family and were pleased to see it busier than usual with 2 full pre-wedding parties in flow.

The menu for the restaurant is the same as the bar menu but offers a good selection of good old English options. The food is served fresh and hot and really was delicious! The service, I have to say, was FANTASTIC!! The young waiter we have was very attentive, informative and really made the evening feel special.

We will certainly be returning!
