We got a great bed and breakfast deal by phoning the hotel and they had a downstairs room(the Garden Room)which is great for my friend as she is disabled
A great size room with a large bathroom but only a double bed in it(Inever thought to ask I was so pleased to find the ground floor room !!)
Most hotels now have super king sized beds in a large room which can be twins or be left together so you have a fab sized bed !!
The soup was potato and leak finished with croutons and cream and the pate was ok but the cumberland sauce was very orangey not as expected and not particularly nice
Hot bread buns are always nice to receive with the starter so that went down well
We opted to stay for dinner the first night the meal was average, the steak was cooked to specifications but not the best quality fillet.
The chicken was tasty and the peppercorn sauce was hot with boiled rice
Cauliflower cheese and carrots and small roasted potatoes to accompany the main courses
The sweet menu was very boring I expect to be offered something different to what I can eat at home and it would be nice to see a fresh fruit salad available on the menu
We had ice cream which had no taste to it with hot chocolate sauce !!
Breakfast - when we asked for porridge it was brought but it turned out to be an instant porridge packet which was flavoured with syrup this was not suitable for my friend being diabetic very disappointing as having porridge is a treat when we are away
Otherwise breakfast was fine the norm with nice coffee
After a nice day out at Fleetwood Freeport we looked forward to dinner at the hotel
Very disappointed to find it was the same menu with the same soup
I had soup as I had enjoyed it the night before and my friend tried the stilton mushrooms which were good
She had the lamb cutlets which were overcooked same pots carrots and leaks this time
I only eat chicken so I opted for the same meal again with a portion of onion rings, this portion consisted of three and a half small onion rings two of which had uncooked batter in them which I gave back after being asked if everything was ok
To be fair we were offered a free drink but didn't want one as I had a free bottle included in the deal which I had half of each night and my friend doesn't drink
We didn't have dessert as it was the same lazy menu
Obviously a one night stay should be acceptable as you don't know you are going to have the same menu choices the next night
The staff were all helpful and pleasant
The actual hotel is a beautiful building set in its own grounds with alpacas grazing in the field so cute
Checkout is 10 o'clock which is the earliest I have ever encountered
The hotel appears to do well for funerals, weddings and local society do's
Perhaps I am a harsh critic but I did not feel such a lovely hotel should serve such boring food
Having been for Sunday lunch and a few evening meals over the years and a couple of weddings which were lovely I expected my stay to be much more enjoyable
Overall very disappointing I am sorry to say

Room Tip: The Garden room is spacious, you have to go outside to get into the main hotel but no problem as it i...

We had a two night stay in early December and I would really really recommend it to anyone. The location is beautiful, the staff are fantastically warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely with a huge bath to die for and the food was fantastic. Topped off with roaring log fires and Alpacas. What more could you ask for.

We will be highly recommending you to any one we know.

The house is set in a pretty location surrounded by the Fylde countryside.
The welcome was good , however check in and check out was rather haphazard .
My room was at the end of the building and was only accessed from outside , this was a problem because it was a very wet weekend !
The room was immaculate and a good size , however the bed was cheap wooden slatted one and not too comfortable .
The bathroom was lovely but spoilt by the fact that you could only open the shower door a little way ... Making it a difficult to get in and out !
The main areas are all very attractive but I didn't like the soggy hand towels in the ladies public loo's ... A definite Germy no no !

Would highly recommend Singleton lodge. Everything about our stay was top class. The breafast was delicous as was the evening meal. The front lawns are lovely with a huge tree with a swing, and the alpacas roaming around. they were lovely to watch. Our room was gleaming as was the rest of the lodge, the staff were all very friendly, and nothing was to much trouble. We will definately be going again..

Everything, from the room to the service, was absolutely brilliant. We were greeted warmly and then shown to our beautiful, immaculately clean room. Then we went down to the bar and were shown the lounge area where we had a drink and picked our food by the cosy open fire. We had a gorgeous 3 course meal and were treated like kings - nothing was too much trouble. After that we went back to the room and enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep. The next morning we had breakfast and received the same excellent service as we did the night before. There was both a continental and cooked breakfast choice and all the ingredients were of top quality. Overall, this is a superb place to stay. The accommodation is lovely, the food is excellent, the views of the grounds are stunning and the service is first class. We can imagine our wedding reception here one day...

We've just had a two night stay at Singleton Lodge for our Anniversary and can honestly say we will definitely be going back. The word wonderful just isn't enough to descibe our stay. We were upgraded to the very beautiful room 5 which overlooks the front lawns directly looking at the big tree with the pretty bridal swing on it.
As we arrived we were greeted with two squirrels running about on the drive, one of which decided to sit on one of the chairs which was very cute!
The Alpacas were a joy to watch during our stay, especially the baby one with it's extra coat on as it kept darting all over the place. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you, especially Peter who ensured the lovely fire was full of wood all night as we sat in front of it enjoying the odd glass of red wine (or two).
The food was amazing also, from the 3 couse evening meal to to lovely breakfast each morning.
I would highly recomend this beautiful place if you are looking for somewhere just that "extra bit" special!
Thank you Singleton Lodge for making our Anniversary stay so memorable!!

Room Tip: A front facing room is a must to enjoy the lovely front lawns and Alpacas
