I cannot believe some of the negative comments on here! We have stayed here a few times as a family of 3 (little girl age 3) and with friends & cannot begin to say how great the place is! The cottages are to a very high standard & the staff cannot do enough for you. We stayed last month for 5days & took lots of toys etc for our little girl expecting to spend some time at the cottage but we were never in as there was so much to do & the 5days flew in! The restaurant is amazing, so good with kids & the food is undoubtedly some of the best we have had! ribby hall is just so beautiful & peaceful & everyone should try it.

Myself and two friends booked a short 4day break at ribby hall through an excellent group on deal, and we were delighted with the result. We stayed in a 3 bedroomed jasmine chalet .it had 2 twin bedrooms and a double room with ensuite the living area was modern and provided everything you could possibly need from a modern flat screened tv right down to the all important corkscrew. Facilities on the village were amazing ,swimming pools, play areas, fishing pond, nature trails ,cocktail bar, supermarket, tea room .the list is endless but what made the stay extra special for me was the gorgeous spa !!!!! Oh where to start,it was wonderful and very reasonably priced.i would recommend the aqua thermal journey ended in the rooftop hot tub to anybody with a complementary glass of champagne thrown in,the aromatherapy massage was bliss all in all a thoroughly enjoyable time in beautiful surroundings

This was our 6th visit to Ribby in January this year. I have previously booked 3 cottages for a weekend break. This time i booked 7 cottages to cover extended members of our family. The newcomers were very impressed with the standard and cleanliness of the accommodation and all the facilities which suited everyone from 6 months old to being in the 70's.The friendliness and efficiency of the staff (from the reception to the cleaning and waiting staff)were exceptional and we will certainly be booking again. It again was a most successful mini break. Congratulations to the management.

Room Tip: You will probably need to book early if you want cottages near to each other. We managed o get them...

We went to Ribby Hall as a large party for a family birthday. We took over several cottages, which were all of a good standard, very well equiped and had plenty of outdoor space to the side for the children to play. We had a fantastic stay, but unfortunately my husband left some items of clothing behind. A Ralph Lauren T-shirt and shorts. Despite the fact that the domestic staff were still cleaning the cottages when I returned, these items had disappeared. I reported it to the main office and after several weeks of phone calls and letters, these items were never recovered. What a let down these particular staff are, not only to the reputation of this holiday village but also to the rest of the staff that do a brilliant job.

I stayed here with work for a night. On arrival we went into the bar and grill, the food was really nice but could have done with being a bit warmer. There is also a Starbucks insite for coffee lovers.
The pool area is good, there is a pool for children and one just for adults which was much more tranquil with a sauna, hot tub jacuzzi and sun loungers! The changing rooms are small and not much privacy. I would recommend taking your own towels as in the cottages you are provided with one towel only at the pool you can get one for a charge of £5! Other facilities were available such as an equestrian centre.
The lodge we stayed it was lovey really spacious, the kitchen and living area were open plan, 1 double bedroom with en-suit and 2 twin rooms! The rooms were clean the only compliant I have is in the bathroom there were cobwebs in the corners and ants crawling on the bath taps up the shower hose and round the door.

This was our first visit to Ribby Hall Village. After purchasing an amazing deal on 'Groupon' for only £129 for 4 nights midweek stay in a 3 bed cottage. On arrival we discovered we had been upgraded from a 'Jasmine' to a 'Poppy' cottage. I think they are similar but 'Jasmine' cottages have not yet been upgraded and refurbed. We were delighted and the cottage was beautiful, modern and luxurious. A large double room with on-suite and two further twin bedrooms and a family size bathroom. My little 2 year old loved the indoor soft play area. The kids swimming area is fab too. We had friends join us fo a few nights with their twin baby boys and my friend and I ventured up the The Spa Hotel for a fantastic Massage followed by Spa Thermal Journey... ending up in a hot tub on the roof!!! Minus 4 degrees outside, but the water was hot hot hot!! So amazing.
The on site family restaurant was nice although a bit expensive and as it was out of seaon there were no shows on. The staff were great with the kids. We did not try the main restaurant and we didnt get around to the cocktail happy hour!!. Papa Johns on site was very handy one evening when we just fancied relaxing in the beautiful living room with a glass of wine. There is a fab little cafe on site which is very reasonable, a tea room, and supermarket. We ventured out to the nearby market town for supplies and here there was a huge morrisons, plenty of pubs and fast food/restaurants. i would definately go back, but looking at the price tarrif, i realise what a good deal we actually had as the prices for these holiday lets are high!

This was our fourth visit to Ribby Hall and all have been a great experience.
We managed to get a two night stay at the beginning of the year because of how the New Year break fell. We went on the 2nd Jan, in lodge no. 1, for £270. This lodge sleeps 6 so we shared the cost with the in-laws which made it very reasonable.
The lodge is very spacious, comes with a well fitted kitchen, all the bedrooms have a TV and the hot tub was brilliant. We used it both evenings and it was great to be out in the hot tub whilst it was freezing cold, made even better with a bottle of champers!!
Given when we went, the village was relatively quiet, this was not a problem as it meant the swimming pool was quieter than usual and there was less queuing for the slides. The kids definitely didn't find that a problem!
The only gripe I have is their WIFI service is poor. On my last two visits I've paid for the WIFI (£20 for 4 days for up to 4 devices), however I've never had any success in connecting my devices. Whether its because they are all Apple products I'm not sure, however Ribby Hall gave me a full refund when I advised them of the issue.
During the winter months I would advise taking a torch as street lighting around the village can be few and far between.

Room Tip: Try to stay as close to the entertainment centre and swimming pool as you can as the weather in the...
