Went here for a wedding at end of may .... never heard of or seen the Villa before! (50+ years in and around this area!..oops!)
Great venue ... day and night ... and, as an absolute critical foodie, I was amazed at everything that was presented both day and night! ... hats off to the chefs!
On the expensive side for visitors in way of rooms and drinks ... but that faded away with the great day and fabulous food.
Would I go back? ... absolutely!

The Villa is beautifully situated just outside Wrea Green, which is a picture perfect village with the largest village green in England complete with pond and ducks. The village is only a short drive from Lytham with an attractive sea front and trendy shops and restaurants. The Taps pub at Lytham is a historic institution with a fine selection of cask beers. The Villa hotel is a fine old residence with atmospheric public rooms with extensions to give all necessary facilities for business, leisure or weddings/events purposes. The grounds are extensive and picturesque with lovely outdoor seating areas in the gardens for eating or drinking in good weather. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped although the bulky duvets can be too warm in good weather.
The food is well served and the breakfast is a comprehensive buffet style plus hot served options. The bar area is equally attractlve with comfortable leather sofas. For another eating option, the Grapes pub on the village green is very welcoming with an outdoor seating area. There is a footpath for easy pedestrian access to the village green by walking through the car park to the rear of the hotel and following a not easily seen path through an attractive residential area (handy for drinks at the Grapes without driving).

Room Tip: Rooms at the frontage overlooking the outdoor seating and gardens are the most attractive and sunnier.

I cant begin to THANK everyone at The Villa, Wrea Green for making our wedding day on 31.5.14 so special. From the moment I inquired about getting married here to the day after our wedding everything was organised and taken care of.
The food and accommodation was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The staff at The Villa liaised with our suppliers, ensured our guests were where they were required to be and kept the day flowing from one thing to the next. The new bridal boutique was a fantastic idea as my bridesmaids and me could all get ready together with drinks/photos whilst having our hair/make up done. There were canapés and drinks on arrival for all our guests and some kept to one side especially for my husband and I.
So many of our guests have said how incredible the venue was and how magical it felt. We appreciate all their hard work, professionalism and attention to detail.
I would highly recommend The Villa to anyone looking for a fantastic wedding venue or a beautiful hotel with fabulous food and incredible state hotel bedrooms.

Room Tip: They have 4 state rooms, 2 with four poster beds and 2 on two floors with a spiral staircase up to the bed. The staterooms and suits even have TVs in the bathrooms.

Absolutely Fantastic, those are the only words l can use to describe our recent experience at The Villa at Wrea Green. Our daughter has just got married there and everything, and l do mean everything, was first class and spot on. The venue itself is an ideal location, the staff were all friendly and wonderful and couldn't do enough for you, the food was to die for and the accommodation was great, loved the four poster bed. Thank you David and Kathryn and for all your support and advice, you were very helpful in making my daughters dream day come true.

Room Tip: If you want to treat yourself, enquire about one of the four state rooms.

Attended a wedding here recently...fantastic place to get married and great restaurant and food! BedRooms a little dated and quite expensive for what they are. Drinks are also quite expensive. Go for Sunday lunch it is amazing!! Beautiful surroundings and a great building in the public areas :)
