The whole family went here, me, my husband my 3 children aged 27,25 and 24 and the grandchildren and it was a lovely afternoon. There are lots of animals to see, a petting area, barrel ride for the kids, a playground and lots of walks to do. We went to see Santa and he is absolutely amazing!! You go into his 'office' where he has the cards and letters from children maps on the wall and it's magical in there! The children were so excited. He chats to everyone in small groups and I don't want to ruin the surprise but it is the best experience with Santa we have had!! To save waiting too long there is an area where cards can be made to pass the time whilst you wait for santa. Brilliant idea. And the kids get a pressie too. All in all a brilliant experience. There is piglet racing, pony rides, a nativity play where kids can join in and elf hunt.
Food can be bought at fairly reasonable prices. Refreshments too and a reasonably priced gift shop to suit all wallets. You can also buy food to feed the goats, etc. Lots of and washing stations too. They also do kids parties and party nights for adults. Or you could just meet in the restaurant for coffee and cake or lunch.
We have been before in the summer and that was a good day out too. The staff are brilliant, very devoted to the care of the animals and so good with little ones. It is quite small and there is a lovely atmosphere. Probably not so good for older children as could be quite boring I would think so probably best or under 8 s I would say but it does depend on the child obviously. A great day out, great value for money and good fun. Good tip - take your wellies in bad weather and not that much to do if the weather is bad as most of it outdoors.

Took our grandson today we all had a great time. Plenty to see and do. First stop was the barn to see the nativity play, the children in the audience took part and the adults provided the choir. Santas grotto was the highlight, the children and adults went in together in a group while they were waiting they had the opportunity to make Christmas cards. When it was time to go in we went through the door to see Santa he was waiting by the fireplace, there were letters on the wall from children lots of presents and teddy bears he even had his book with him that had the children's names in. He looked up a few of the children who were there in his book and read out how many ticks they already had and knew what they had been up to because the elves had been watching. The children all got a present and there was a photo opportunity then it was out through the secret door which had loads of presents on it. We must have been in there for at least 15 minutes. There was also the opportunity to watch the piglet racing with frosty the snowman Santa and co. we then fed the animals played in the park went to petting corner to see the rabbits and guinea pigs then off home to watch polar express. £20 for the family well worth it for a few hours of magical fun. The staff there are always happy and very good with the children. Well worth a visit

We started visiting this open farm in 2008 and it was brilliant, as time has gone on there are less and less animals on view, less animals to interact with and the food in the restaurant has increased in price and decreased in quality.

there is quite a good play area, a big sand pit and the resturant seating area is plentiful. There is a long walk you can take around the fields to really ware the kids out and some interesting little woodland walks too.

If you like Pigs, Ducks, Bunnies and Goats this place is great - but if you want to see cows, horses, donkeys and a wider array of animals...this isnt the place for you

Visited here around Halloween - really put effort into providing entertainment & fun beyond just a 'meet the animals' venue. So the day was good, but the cafe.....just dreadful. Can't make a coffee at all and their £6.25 baguette consisted of a defrosted baguette, cheap cold bacon and a couple of bits of cold brie and a few sad salad leaves. My kids put more effort into their sandwiches - they are missing such an opportunity !
