Needed somewhere at short notice the red lion had space for us ! Haddock and goats cheese fish cakes are a winner!
Very pleased will return on a Friday sometime soon!

“Great place for an overnight stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

Reviewing as a bed and breakfast rather than restaurant.Stayed for one night as going to a wedding in Redhill, perfect location for Redhill,Reigate and Gatwick (planes NOT heard !) Lovely old pub, good beer and wine, pretty location in quiet lane in attractive village by a stream.Plenty of parking,Rooms were excellent, large, clean with tea/coffee facilities, plenty of hot water and fluffy towels,Breakfast 'delivered' on tray in evening,cereal/cereal bars, fruit and milk, this was expected as had seen other reviews, didn't bother us as had eaten a five course meal the evening before but for those expecting a cooked breakfast you will be disappointed. We did notice a carvery pub on the main road to Reigate and just five minutes away that did cooked breakfasts everyday so that would be an option if very hungry. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would definately use again and have no hesitation in recommending, quiet so sleep quality good,Enjoy a great village pub,(nb rooms are in adjacent building so not disturbed with any pub noise that there may have been. Can only comment on breakfast as did not have meal here but looked popular for meals with plenty of people eating.

“Brilliant food, good beer, great staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

We were in the area for 3 nights and came to this pub every night as the food was so good and such good value. Also the staff were without exception welcoming, very helpful and friendly. With the good beer and old world charm, I don't know what anyone else would want from a pub.

“Good food, friendly service, lovely pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

The Red Lion has a good selection of pub dishes that it does very well with a couple of interesting additions. Currently their specials board is exclusively fish and seafood and very good indeed.

They also serve a great pint and have a good selection of wines.
